Bottled
Dark rich brown body with full on 2cm creme caramel coloured microscopic bubble head
The aroma is good, full on citra with a little fresh mint leaf, but is it a brown ale smell?
The taste has a good, harsh liquorice toffee & chocolate lead to counter them hops
it makes for a surprisingly well balanced flavour
I thought it was a bit thin for the style, flavour & strength, not watery but more so than to cover easy drinking
I really enjoyed this and it was different from a stout or black ipa to make a mark
