Appearance: Reddish/purplish in color as your pour it, but as you get more in the glass it starts turning to more of a reddish brownish color, almost like a mixture of beet juice and strawberry juice. The head is a light red/purplish color, thick, foamy and creates a dense lacing.
Smell: Smells more like a sweet wine or cider, apples, berries, cherry flavored bubble gum and it smells like it would be just a little tart.
Taste: The aroma is spot on for the taste, tart just like eating a mixture of strawberry, cherry, blueberry and raspberry juice with a hint of cranberry and apples.
Mouthfeel: light bodied and very carbonated.
Overall: This is a very good tasting fruit beer, and would make a great companion for a dark chocolate dessert.Keep in mind this is a fruit beer...

Poured from 11.2-ounce bottle into a tulip glass. Very pretty pale reddish-pink color, with a three-finger white head. Very fruit-forward on the nose and palate. Big aromas and flavors of tart cherry, plus a little peppery spice on the finish. A little astringent, fairly dry with only a hint of sweetness lingering on the tongue. So delicious and easy drinking that you'd never suspect there was any alcohol in it at all. This is exactly what you'd expect it to be, and you certainly can't fault it for that.

A: The beer is hazy dark rosé in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving delicate lacing on the surface and a collar consisting of large bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sweet, dark cherries are present in the nose—similar to what you would expect from a cherry cough drop.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but has more pronounced flavors of dark cherries and a moderate amount of sweetness.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but seems like you having a liquid version of a cherry cough drop instead of a beer, so it might not be appealing to everyone.

330 mL bottle pours a clear red color with a nice cap of soft pink head. Retention and lace are both average.

Nose is cherry juice and Kool-Aid. Not much in the way of malt, sourness or yeast.

Taste is definitely cherry-laden. It tastes very much like the bottled cherry juice in the supermarkets but with carbonation. Really has very little beer character. Thats not to say it doesnt taste good...because it does. Just very one-dimensional and not beer-like at all.

Holy Cow! I am not going to do a full review, but this deserves a warning. This was like drinking a very sweet cherry soda. Ridiculously over sweet and very carbonated. There was virtually no tartness to it. As a beer in its style I would rate it quite low, but as a beverage in general I have to keep it high because it was quite interesting to drink.

Color- dark pink lemonade. Full head.

Aroma- sweet and tart cherry candy.

Taste- starts sweet with mild cherry, very fine and gentle carbonation gently balancing the sweetness in the middle, with spices including cinnamon near the end (remind me of German Gluwein spices but more gentle), finishing with a honey dipped cherry sweetness. A good dessert beer.

Poured from 330 ml bottle into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted June 2014.

A red beer with a very fast settling head. Almost no head left after 2 minutes. Nice color.

Smell of sweet, gummibear cherries. Very sweet and syrupy. Like the preserved cherries on pastry.

Taste is sweet and has an artificial cherry taste. No complexity. Mouthfeel is quite thick and drinkability is low. The sweetness is lingering. Although I am not a big fan of the style, this beer lacks any of the fresh, sour and fruity tastes normally found in these beers.
