An interesting place with an array of unusual beers. About a dozen FR beers and a few guests from local places. the ones we tried were mostly good. But four bucks for a five oz taster, seven for 10 oz. The menu looked worth trying, though burgers and fries seemed to be what people were eating. Easy to get there on the Chicago Ave bus. Really jammed early on a Friday. Big dinner crowd.

The downside is how unpleasant the place is. The main room has long tables all around the center bar. Somehow it is really cramped despite the high ceilings. Astoundingly loud and then the music was turned up numbingly loud. Everything in the place is a hard surface. You could stand at a few tiny tables in the alcove by the brewery, which is in the back. But no chairs and still crashingly loud.

Have been putting this one off for a while just because I wasn’t sure how much this was beer versus restaurant. But their hazy IPA game is on so I had to visit. 18 seat square bar in the center with a couple dozen tables behind. About half full when I was there at 4 on a Saturday. Nice low key vibe with a mostly new wave playlist. 16 taps, good variety, Mostly 12 oz pours for 6-7. A touch on the high side but the quality is there. Didn’t get any food. Overall, I should have listened to the buzz and gotten here sooner. Will add to my Chicago rotation. And the bar has power plugs below the rail for charging. Always a plus.

Heard this was one of the best spots in the city for hops, buddy and I hit them an hour before closing on a week night. Cool space, neat center bar with good service but it was it was pretty quiet. Ended up enjoying some of the guest taps (Logsdon) more than their brews. Their stuff is fine, seemed to be rather ambitious with different styles not just a “haze” place. Right down the road from Tecalitlan which is a good Mexican food place.

Fun old converted movie heater. Brick walls and high ceiling, nice sized center bar.

Sat at the bar so it was easier to order, try tastes, etc.
Great service, attentive and helpful. Got to chat with one of the owners a bit which was informative about the nature and style of the brewery.

One of the most unique beer I've had which was a Belgian tripel spiced to have root beer characteristics. I would like an air freshener that smelled like it. None of the 'banana'ish' aromas you end to get from a Belgian yeast.

Only stopped in for some beer so not going to be helpful with the food quality but menu looked good for a brew pub. Did have the cheese and crackers which was more of a dip with a sleeve of Ritz which is good midwest in my opinion.

Certainly worth a stop.

The performance and personality of one bartender (Only one) keeps the service from getting a 5. Otherwise excellent ib every aspect of brewpub operations. Highly recommend.

we had a great time in here, and were pretty stoked on some ambitious brews they have going in here. its a big space, brick and high ceilings with some softer touches, plants and dark wood and a beautiful view to the brew house in the back, all shiny and new looking. we sat at a booth, but they have a big wrap around bar in the middle of the place, and quite an awesome selection of beers, including a couple of heady guest draft options. we loved their ginger wheat, their strawberry basil hefe, and a couple of their hazy hoppy offerings as well. the wildflower pale was also really nice, each beer seemed to have some unique element to it, they all looked exciting on paper and most of them lived up to that. our service was also excellent, attentive and sharp, while the food we had was exceptional, especially by average brewery standards! we samples a number of small plates and all of them were great. this is an awesome place to hang, cruise through some really interesting beers, and enjoy some inspired food. really glad we found this place, i will return for sure when i am in chicago in the future! highly recommended, and there is definitely something for everyone in here!

Undersell and over perform.
Large open space filled with communal tables for 100, easy, surrounding a central bar that seats 20. A semi-private table for 10-12 is placed directly in front of the smallish window to the brewhouse. A prime spot for a peek at the magic.

Don't come here for the game, the focus is on the beer, food, and your fellow diners. No TV, but the music is killer and at the perfect volume.

Great beer options. I really enjoyed the Get to the Winchester with the schnitzel. But the absinthe barrel aged blonde, Hazel Eyes was an awakening.
They had about 10 house beers on tap and 3 guest taps. There will be one, or two, for you.

Service is attentive without being in your face, knowledgable without being judgmental, personable, and fun.

Food is really well done and overall a great place to visit for a relaxed enjoyable evening.

Brewery fits nicely into the neighborhood and has made good use of an old building, projecting a hip vibe while retaining the character of the building. We enjoyed a handful of small plates, all of which were very good. A wide variety of brews are offered, some I've not had before, like a Sparkling Rose Ale (who knew). All were very enjoyable. It would be a great hangout if only it was closer to home.

A nice vibe with a bar in the center surrounded by tables. Everything is clean and comfortable. I got a flight of five beers for $13. Everything I tasted was good. The bartender let me try a few other beers while my growers were being filled. A very good selection of house botanic beers, guest taps, cocktails, wine and spirits. I did not try the food on this visit.
