Sweet maple syrup flavor, good for one. Smell is great.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a chestnut color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of maple, malts, honey.Taste is nutty, maple, honey, malts, a bit on the sweet side. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, my expectations on this beer were not great, based on previous reviews and other beers I have had from this brewery. Now I am wishing I would have bought a six pack or more, instead of a single bottle.

Color was nice, mouthfeel was fine, everything else was terrible. Smelled like a candy factory and was so cloyingly sweet with nothing to balance it out at all that it was difficult to notice the hops or the hazelnut. Couldn't finish it because I was afraid of the diabetes.

Picked this up for 3 bucks at the House of 1,000 beers. Smells of caramel sweetness with a good hazelnut aspect and some brown malts. Taste is quite nice it reminded me of Dundee's Nut Brown ale but a little bit sweeter. Good beer and pretty funny name as well.

On tap at the O.C. Brewery.

Pours a dark brown, with a balanced malt-nut aroma. Taste was very sweet, with a malty nut flavor. The honey was not overpowering...yet pleasant. One thing I didn't pull from this was 'spicy hops'.

Whenever I go to a brew pub, I typically try different beers, just to change things up. Not this time, I drank only Nuckin' Futs.

Edit: March 2017. After having this beer in bottles a few times, I feel I may have underrated the amount of sweetness. I have found that I can only have a couple of these beers in a sitting due to the sweetness. Still a beer I am not going to shy away from.

Pours dark brown with creamy off-white head. Not much lacing.
Smell is heavy on vanilla/corn syrup, a little over-the-top.
Taste is nicely balanced, though -- sweetness nicely balanced with the earthy/nutty hops.
Feel is good -- medium body and carbonation, not sticky. A little vanilla aftertaste.
overall, worth trying and not a bad six-pack to have around for fall.

At Abingdon pub, it poured brown with a small head from the tap. Some nuts and sweetness in the nose. The mouth followed the nose and was a touch sweet and nutty. Not bad!
