L- Deep ruby/chestnut, slightly hazy, pours with 1Cm pale tan fine-bubble head. [Holding up well 15mins later].
S- Surprisingly mild, a rich caramel/malt and perhaps a hint of cocoa/coffee.
T- It's clearly well powered yet refined, with such balance no facet comes out and shouts too loudly. Suffice to say it's pretty pungent, rounded, with deep but gentle cocoa/coffee notes
F- Superbly polished balance. 10% yet it goes down SO easily. Carbonation is great esp. for a beer of this ABV% where they can struggle to retain CO2 after opening.
O- Lovely beer. Deep toasty, coffee/cocoa hints but nothing OTT in the fine balance. Surely the mark of a good beer is things *not shouting their individual presence*, just making a lovely whole. Very nice indeeed, and I'd happily drink this again. Despite it's name and me being an daily espresso drinker, I did not register any serious cofee aspects in this beer, just mild hints.
330ml bottle. Bought from BelgiumInABox Antwerp/BE for home delivery to me in London/UK BB: 3/12/2020

12.7oz green bottle with what looks to be 30/11/19 (best by from reading other reviews) printed on the back label poured into a chalice at fridge temp 10% ABV. Purchased online from Belgianstyleales.com who claim to keep their beer cold in storage. The beer pours hazy medium brown in color with frothy mocha colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island leaving a few spots of lacing. The aroma is mild with dark fruits, dark malt, brown sugar and Belgian yeast. The taste is semisweet dark malt with the fruit and coffee coming on mid palate. No one flavor really jumps out, but the overall blend is very good with mild to moderate coffee bitterness on the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. The ABV is not revealed in the aroma or taste. Overall, very good. I expected the American heavy handed coffee on this and was pleasantly surprised with the restraint.

Brown, with amhogany edged. Beautiful creamy foam, cappuccino colored.
Smell with dominat coffee. Ground coffee. Very characterized, and interesting.
Less interesting taste. Again coffee, but more toward chicory. A bit watery.
In the back a note of red fruit and candy sugar. Some liquorice,
Alcohol well hidden.
Aftertate: again coffee, chicory, liquorice. Long.
In the end, a pleasant beer.

33cl stubby bottle. Dated 05/12/19 which I assume is a best by date

pours a cloudy dark brown in color, thick cream colored head. great head retention. aroma not as expected - only mild roast, more vanilla and mild caramel than coffee. maybe a touch of cinnamon. taste is similar, a touch sweet. medium bodied, smooth carbonation

$3.75 from the LCBO. Two year old plus bottle bb date of 18/11/18/ Almost no head, clear dark brown colour. Coffee less pronounced than 6 month old bottle. Not very excited about this beer. To be truthful I am not a fan of coffee infused beers.

Moderate head settles to a generous cap, plenty lace. All about the coffee. A hint of dark fruit in the aroma, a whiff of alcohol. The fruit goes nicely with the coffee. Extends to the taste of the beer. Nice marriage of the quadrupel and coffee. Good beer overall, suitable for after dinner.
