Very pale yellow with a massive foamy white head.

Smells like wheat with citrusy fruits, mostly lime with some orange, and faint green tea smells in the back. There's some honey like sweetness in there as well. A little sweeter than expected but quite pleasant and refreshing.

The taste follows the nose except that there's more sweetness and less citrusy tartness. There's still a nice tea flavour in there, it's just tea with a little too much sugar. Dry finish with lime and honey.

Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated but could've been a little lighter, it's a little sticky feeling at times for some reason.

Overall this is a nice beer but it could've done with a bit more bitter, tea is a bitter drink too after all and this was a bit too sweet for my tastes. Still, it's light, refreshing and different and I appreciate those things in a beer.

Hazy yellow with some OK head. Smells like grass, citrus and a bit like a wheat beer. The taste follows through, with bread, banana, some citrus and also some other spices that I can't identify. However, the taste is quite bland, and after 2-3 sips, you can't identify most flavours.

This Japanese style wheatbeer with green tea and Japanese lemons is a pleasant surprise. The fact is that you can really taste the tea, that hops are completely missing...but also that it nevertheless feels like beer! Quite original.

L: super, lasting top with small bubbles;
S: not very appearant; neutral;
T: lovely round, citrus, nice sweetness without being....sweet! A bit tea and herbs.
M: very drinkable, light alcohol, round mouthfeel, good finish, even though there isn't any hoppy bitterishness;
O: very good brew, with great commercial possibilities.

33cl Bottle: brought back from Amsterdam by my wife as a present after a Hen Party weekend. The bottle had a best before date of 30/12/12: so well out of date when she bought it and when I opened it on 15/03/13.

Poured it into a Westmalle chalice at home: cloudy lemon/yellow body with a full, deep head of uneven foam, lacing and staying power from the said head.

Smell is mangos and yeasty.

Taste is a fruit tea sort of flavour (mangos, oranges and grapefruits): strange.

Funny beer really: glad she only brought me one home, don't know what to make of it. As a one off it's fine but I couldn't see me or any of my mates having a session on it.

Scored as objectively as I can.

Brown long neck bottle, 330 ml. ABV 4,5%.
Ingredients are water. barley malt, wheat malkt, hops, green tea, yeast and yuza which are japanese lemons according to the label. Poured into a tumbler.
Colour is very pale yellow, with a hazy semitransparent body and one finger of head that disappears fast.
Aroma is green tea. citrus fruits along with some floral notes and honey.
Tatse is sweet with green tea notes here too. Some light sourness on the aftertaste. I think I can taste some honey too.
Full body and light carbonation. Quite dry on the palate. It gave me a numb feeling on the back of my mouth, I guess that was the green tea.
I got this at an asian goods supermarket, thinking it would be japanese or something, but that's not the case of course. Back to the beer, this is a very good one, the green tea and the lemon sourness on the aftertaste making it even more refreshing.

A beer made with green tea and yuzu? This is strange! Even stranger is that it is brewed in Belgium for a Dutch contracter.

Appearance is good, a fizzy yellow beer with a big stable head. It looks like a witbier to me.

Smell is lightly malty and has some hops in it. There is a herbal, spicy smell, could this be the tea or yuzu? It is very subtle though.

Taste is light and has some malt and a little fruity tastes, a bit citrus even. This beer appears to be more like a pilsener, no real tastes stand out, but that is what makes a good pilsener. The presence of green tea and yuzu is not very clear to me, other than a very very faint herbal taste. Aftertaste is dry and drinkability is good.Very drinkable with a Chinese meal.

330 ml bottle, now available in Norway. ABV is 4.3%. Website for this beer is www.ikibeer.com . Hazy pale yellow colour, big and lasting white head. The sweetish aroma is a bit strange, after all green tea and yuzy fruit are not common ingredients in beers. Some rubbery notes too. The flavour has some wheaty notes, but is most of all reminiscent of lemon ice tea. Minimal bitterness. Not undrinkable, but won't buy again.

This is the Yuzu (Japanese lemon) version.

I also have a ginger version. Both were given to me by a friend. I myself would never buy these beers.

Poured into a pint glass, this is a very pale beer with lots of yeast. It almost looks like pineapple juice. A small rocky head.

This beer basically is a sort of low ABV Belgian pale ale, or more like a witbier as it uses wheat, with green tea and yuzu lemon in it. Not unlike Hoegaarden.
It is also ecologic.

Smells not unlike a lager or witbier, pretty mild and a little grainy malts. This one has citrus qualities to it and quite alot of leafiness from the hops but probably the tea as well.
Quite fruity.

It actually does not smell all that horrible, no sugar added and no artificial aroma's.

Tastes quite good actually, much better than expected atleast.
A light, refreshing brew. I definitly get the wheat as it has that distinct doughy maltiness to it. The citrus is very mild, a little different that a citrus aroma coming from hops but still this is not unlike a beer with more citrussy hops. This is no citrus juice overkill at all!

Mouthfeel is medium, it feels more thick because of the wheat. Well carbonated.

Overall quite a refreshing beer. And thank God it is a beer and not the fruity alcopop I was afraid this would be.

Pours a pale yellow, slightly green-tinged colour with a healthy haze in the body. Head is white in colour and decent size, but sinks pretty steadily to leave a line of foam on the top. Lace is fairly decent, very sticky and pale. Looks quite good, really.

Nose is fairly sour, a fair amount of malt with hints of grain husks, some champagne tartness and a very mild funk character on the back. Slight notes of honey and some adjuncts come through with a sweet bready unpleasantness, but not too much for ruination. A bit confused, but not unpleasant overall.

Taste is an odd one. Large sweetness on the front with a hint of musk and a fair amount of honeyed grain. Some slight citric hints and I guess some vinous notes help the tartness onto the mid, then a quite odd bitterness hits, very herbal and quite organic with some subdued hints of green tea and peppermint, without the spice. A bit of a buttery texture overall is odd for the style, and the finish is a dull, fairly watery bitterness with no real bite or character. Unique overall but definitely lacking substance.

A bit thick and also chewy on the mouthfeel, but lacks body, and just texture in general. A bit flat.

Not too bad overall, but it wouldn't be my beer of choice. Neither flavoursome nor refreshing enough.

Pours a cloudy golden colour, quite light, and very wit-like, with a sticky and thick head of white foam that edges the glass light meringe. Looks very tasty.

Quite phenolic on the nose - big notes of herbal resin, some pepper and spice, and quite a whiff of booze, which is surprising and possibly evanescent. Really smells a big too unnatural to me. Not bad, but a little harsh. (This is probably the green tea, now that I think about it.)

Taste is a lot better: clean, round and crisp. Very mellow and soft in the palate, slightly sweet, with a round Belgian yeast character on the finish. Very full, quite buttery, nothing dry on the finish, extremely drinkable. Mouthfeel is smooth but rich - minimal carbonation and absolutely no harshness.

This is a very smooth and really pleasant beer. The nose is full-on, and perhaps a bit too much so, but in every other category this is a winner.

From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles. In Teku glass. Watching Ultima Oportunidad 1x06. Reminds me a wit, with some spicyness, citrusy and a bit herbal, but all in a soft and pleasant way. Very refreshing

This is a confusing bottle. When you look at it you would think this is a Japanese brew. It is not! I had this beer at my neighbours house tonight.

The bottle says the beer has green tea in it....i did not taste anything green.

Poured in a standard Jupiler glass this beer looks quit good, cloudy yellow fluis with a big white head. I looks and smells like a witbeer.

Refreshing taste, this is a beer for the warmer days, fruity taste.
