Pours a murky dark-brown color with a medium top off beige head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is caramel, bread, nuts, raisins, figs, plums, brown sugar and spices.
The taste starts of sweet and malty with notes of dried fruits, caramel, bread and brown sugar. The finish is slightly bitter with some herbal hop notes. Aftertaste has a decent lenght. Creamy and soft mouthfeel with a medium carbonation and a medium body. A pretty good quadruple but lacks a little to be among the best ones.

L- Dark ruby chestnut, clear (minor sediment left in bottle), Pours with 2Cm pale tan ultra fine head (holds well, still 1Cm after 20 mins), and forms lacing down the sides of the glass.
S- Pungent, toasty, deeply roasted rich fruit (think prunes/plums etc). The meaty 10% ABV doesn't reveal itself yet.
T- Wow, deep fruit notes, rich, toasty, a picquant ABV% tang pops up now and again.
F- Extremely drinkable, but for me as a slow-sippin' beer; this is deep complex and pungent and deserves being savoured.
O- I notice zero aspects with this beer that do not work well for me, it really is superb. It would go very well sat in front of the fireplace, or as a dessert beer (in place of a dessert wine), as it's bold enough to hold it's own against rich/heavy desserts and even pungent blue cheese.

Pours brown tinged with amber, along with a full finger of head, or more if you let it. Classic quad esters and spices on the nose. Brown sugar, vanilla, dates, dried papaya, and clove on the palate, paired with some sharper fusel notes. Smooth on the tongue, moderately thin.

L: Poured from a bottle to a goblet. Had a dark brown color and a thick, super-cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, off white, very long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A fair aroma of Belgian yeast, apples, caramel, bread, and molasses.

T: Tasted of a decent amount of malt (present throughout), a good shot of Belgian yeast, some caramel / toffee notes, a bready quality, light molasses, apples, and mild spices. Not necessarily a bad flavor, but definitely unfocused. Some of the elements (the malt) are greater than others (the caramel). Still, fairly tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a somewhat lively finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An uneven beer all around, but it has some good qualities. Drinkable nonetheless.

330 ml bottle, Etre Gourmet - Pours deep amber with a thin white head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - Sweet caramel, toffee, ripe berries. Taste - Sweet smooth front, caramel/toffee, hints of fruits, light bitter finish with a nice but not overpowering alcohlic warmth. Ticka all the rights boxes for a decent quad.
