A - pours a slightly ruddy yet crystal clear gold. Thick and bubbly white foam. Slowly dissipates.

S - sweet fried dough. Lots of fruity esters. Peaches certainly come through, banana and peppery notes from belgian yeast. Oak, vanilla and coconut shines after it warms.

T - cereal grains up front. Toasty oak and fruit flavors flood in along the mid palate. Peaches, coconut, banana and citrus. Firm underlying bitterness. Vanilla, white pepper and booze all come together on the near back palate. Finish is long and lingering of oak and spice.

M - medium bodied, close to full. High carb.

O - interesting beer but not quite a home run for these two fantastic breweries. I did have high expectations of this beer and while throughly enjoyable, not what i was looking for.

Poured into a snifter.

A - Slightly hazy light orange color. Maybe a little hint of light yellow in there. Good looking beer, always like to see a little haze. Very clean overall though.

S - The smell on this just blows me away. It's is a tropical paradise, getting some coconut and mango/tropical fruit sweetness. A nice hop aroma hits aiding in the tropical notes and giving it a little dankness. Delightful smell.

T - The taste also knocks me out on this..following the nose basically with a soft bitterness. Getting some coconut in the back end. Absolutely no alcohol presence for a 9.5er. Finishes nice and dry.

M - This beer goes down nice, slight enhanced mouth feel I'm sure from the coconut. It is nice, not much else to say.

Overall this beer is great! I would highly recommend it, while the price point is pretty high at 16.99, I can almost justify it for this beer. Mostly a b-day treat for me though, glad I tried it!
