A- Light golden color. Perfect pale ale color.
S- Light crisp biscuity notes and slight herbal and citrus aroma.
T- Drinks smooth, with a light caramel flavor and a moderate bitterness. Balanced.
M-Light bodied.
O- Impressed. Everything is put together well in this pale ale. According to the style, this beer matches up very well. Take a SNPA and take the hops and malt down a notch, and you might be close to this sessionable Pale Ale.

It's a nice pale ale that's easy to drink due to how light it is.

Slightly sweet with a little bit of fruitiness as well.

Not the best pale ale out there but if you are more of a malt fan with a little hops on top this is a solid choice.

I am actually shocked by the taste of this brew

Pours a good alpha king orange that's really nice to look at

Smells of citrus zest and fruity hops - perhaps dry hopped a bit. A little hit of breadiness as well

Tastes like a world class Pale ale - I can't beleive it actually - it taste just like 3 Floyd's alpha king - it really does . Citrus hops up front - malts take a backseat to a great lingering after taste that makes you wanna dive into the nonic for a swim

Mouthfeel a bit crisp with grainy tingling just propelling the hops onto the palate - slight medium body exactly what your lookin for in a pale - not too high in abv.

Overall this beer is better than most golden road beers I've had actually. All I can say this beer was a homerun I'm actually headed to trader joes to buy more right now

Surprising orangey amber color with a coarse foam in the Brugs chalice. Thin mouthfeel.

This has a startling musty, leaf mold, cedar taste to start. That seems to wear off as the bitterness finally emerges. A little caramel, a mineral taste, and plenty of gratuitous bitterness. I don't taste any hop aromatics.

This is strange stuff. Too much peculiar flavor to suit for a pleasant quaff, and not interesting enough when you want to actually taste something. From the 16 oz can bought at Trader Joe's in San Diego.

Appearance: Dark copper, with a good head and good lacing. Moderate carbonation.

Smell: Caramel, floral and pine hops, slightly skunky.

Taste: Caramel and pine.

Mouthfeel: Sticky, chewy, medium bodied. Bitter hop bite to the finish.

The Verdict: It's ok. Can't hold a candle to a real west coast pale ale like Sierra Nevada or Mirror Pond, but it is drinkable and affordable. That's about the best I can say about it.

*This is a Trader Joe's brand made by Golden Road out of L.A. Sadly, they are replacing the Firestone Walker brewed Mission St. line that I've gotten hooked on over the last year.

Canned 5/22/14.

Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, earth, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with malt, earth, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable but nothing all that exciting for the style in my opinion.

A good value selection. This pours a, well, clear golden color. Lightly hopped aroma with citrus undertones. Flavor has a green citrus. Character. Nice body, quick finish. Not incredible, not terrible, and one I'm sure I'll keep coming back to for the price.

Poured from 16oz can (bought at Trader Joe's) into Duvel glass.

Golden color, clear. Decently-sized, fluffy head.

Smell has a balance of lightly-sweet (and almost chocolatey), roasted malts, and mild citrus and pine hoppy notes.

Balanced, light taste that mean lean just a little towards the malty side (as opposed to hoppy), but not in an overwhelming or very caramely sense. Some tropical fruit in there, as well.

Light-medium body for the style.

Refreshing and pretty light. Will probably buy again as a thirst-quencher.
