Great place! Vibe and music was great! Good customer service and good food. The quality of brews was off the charts! Not the easiest to find parking, but a great time here!

Spent the weekend diving in Monterey and while I had hoped to stop by Alvarado Street Brewery in Salinas, we ended up at the eatery, downtown Monterey. As expected it was crowded on the Saturday we arrived, about 2PM. We got luck with a parking spot just up the street from the brewery, as the anticipation built.
The establishment was jumping with activity, the bar was full, but there some room at the tall tables in the bar area. We took a seat and started looking at the line up being served. We waited no more than 3-4 minutes before our server stopped by dropping food menus and taking out drink order. My friend ordered a Rack It, while I decided on the Cryo Shake.
Wasn't impressed with my beer selection, a bit bitter for a milkshake IPA, but I drank it, while looking for round two. Our server took our orders; Calamari for me, and the Pork Belly Poutine for my buddy. The food was relatively quick, as I wasn't finished with my beer yet. The Calamari was lightly breaded, hot and served with a cocktail sauce and chipolte aioli. Tasty and filling, it hit the spot after diving.
Round two was up and I discussed options with the people next to me, as one of their party had ordered the Black Cherry Whip, which missed on the first round. Same goes for Bubble Bath, as those would have been my top choices. I opted for the Bubble Bath and this sour was perfect, light and fruity with a nice tartness. Hit the spot.
We also found out a bit too late that the tap takeover outside, on the patio was from Pure Project, not Pour, as we were told in the bar area. By the time we went outside, they were down to just two beers and nothing in cans or any collabs to purchase. I looked at their can selection and while impressive, I passed.
Overall, a great place to go! Good food and service and as expected high quality beer. When I return to Monterey to dive, rest assured this is going to be on my places to go to.

Really liked this place a lot. Biggie's Bon Bon Bonanza and Motor Oil were absolutely delicious but I was bummed that they don't sell their own growlers and won't fill other growlers with anything at or above 10% which is a huge miss for them if you ask me because their best beers are of course over 10%. Still worth a visit but it really was a bummer to leave without a growler because I really wanted one.

Sweet and swanky, this place is bustling and busy. It feels far ‘nicer’ than most breweries, but fits in fine with the area. Unfortunately, but not unsurprisingly, prices match accordingly.

This is a review of the Salinas tasting room. It is located in a metal building in an industrial section of town. The bar space is fairly spartan with a couple of refrigerated display cases and a row of taps. Surrounding the bar area are a few oak barrel racks. Behind them are a few rows of stainless steel fermentation tanks. They don't offer food on a regular basis, but I was told that they do have a rotating schedule of food trucks. The space is not heated and they keep the bay door open, so it can be chilly in there. Dress accordingly.
