A: A cloudy orange amber in color with a white head.

S: Tangerine, grapefruit, and a touch of tropical fruit. Light maple and bread aromas.

T: Flavor follows smell with less tropical fruit, and more of a push on the citrus. Lots of grpefruit and orange peel, with a touch of pine. Finish is a touch resinous and herbal.

M: Medium in body, fairly assertive carbonation, and a lightly dry finish.

O: Overall a refreshing and interesting IPA. I could see going through a few of these sitting on a porch with meat grilling near by. The hops have a freshness you don't see much out of homebrew.

4-30-16 - On tap at The Fat Canary in Williamsburg, VA. Served in a tall Pilsner glass with just a bit of head. More golden than orange in color. Foam did not cling to the glass at all. Very hoppy taste. Not sure if this was their year round IPA, or one with a hop varietal (our server didn't know either). I had a couple just to be sure. I'll look these guys up the next time I'm in Virginia.

Poured from a bottle. No date found on the bottle or six pack.

Pours a clear orange copper color with about a half finger or so of white head. Left behind a little lacing.

Smells of oranges, mangoes, and bread malts.

Tastes of citrus up front, oranges maybe grapefruit, into some pine and malts. More on the bitter side but not overwhelmingly so. Feel is about average for an IPA. Slight bitter aftertaste.

Overall it's solid. Nothing fantastic but certainly drinkable and wouldn't make for a bad 6 pack to pick up.

65 IBUs and hopped with 100% Amarillo. Nose is full of orange zest, and flavor follows along the same lines with herbal notes in the background. None of the aspirin taste in the finish common with beers using a lot of Amarillo. Nice and bright, without the earthy flavors common in a lot of east coast IPAs.
