Literally the worst beer I've had in over a decade. After having Ballast Point's Habanero Sculpin I got on a kick of spicy beers. Appearing Mexican and assuming it might be worth a try, I grabbed a sixer of this God forsaken brew. Mind you, I enjoy Modelo, Pacifico, and Dos Equis under the appropriate circumstances, I realize comparing it to a Ballast Point is like comparing a Fiero to a Ferrari.

With that said, it's worse. Think Busch with a shitty pepper in it. Drinking it makes me contemplate sobriety. Every sip makes me reassess the decisions I've made in life that lead me to purchasing this six pack. I bought it 5 months ago and I have 3 left. I've probably drank 250 beers since I purchased it. The best thing I can say about this beer is that it makes your farts smell like you ate an entire meal of deviled eggs and canned tuna. Vascillating between using the last few bottles as Christmas ornaments or drinking them the night before my next cross country flight in hopes of silencing everyone in my general vacinity.

Would highly recommend if you're in a transitional period and need a catalyst for self evaluation. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and drink literally anything else in the house that you don't keep under your kitchen sink.

Copper and filtered with no head, little carbonation and a green chilli that looks like similar to a Thai chlili. The label says its a Serrano chilli.

Smells of hot, spicy chillis, particularly like a Jalepino pepper, or hot sauce.

Very spicy. Again, much like hot sauce but without the sodium. Like thai food spicy, not just a hint of heat. Its not unbearable to me but it would be for some people. Little malt and beer as well, but mostly heat. Burns right down.

Scorching burn all the way down from the peppers, not alcohol. Light body, little carbonation.

Got on wish beer today, drank June 21st, 2016. Overall, really cool beer. Not to an 'American Style' as some would expect, and has a cool label.

11.2 fl oz. bottle, best by date appears to read 04/15/15. Acquired a single bottle as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. ''Premium lager beer & a gourmet Serrano chili". No abv listed on the bottle.

Poured into a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale mini snifter.

A - Pours how it appears through the clear glass bottle - a hazy murky greenish lager gold body. Appears weakly carbonated, with some slow bubbles floating topside. No real conjuration of any sort of head, nor any lacing. Lots of vegetal sediment from the Serrano pepper floating in the beer. Can't say that it looks bad.

S - Not really much of a nose on this one - just straight earthy, vegetal, Serrano chili spice. Perhaps a vague notion of flat stale regular "beer" smell. Not much of a nose, but that isn't where the gimmick lies.

T - Flavor is what you would expect : tons of chili pepper heat, bit of earthy / vegetal flavor, and maybe the slightest bit of the lager base creeps through. Hot hot hot stuff. It burns my throat on the way down. Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

M - The feel is smooth & drinkable, but extremely hot & spicy chili pepper finish. Definitely only recommended for those who love the heat. To me, and the average beer drinker, the heat makes this one unbearable.

Overall, it was exactly what I expected. I definitely only try beers like this for the tick and for the novelty value. Only recommended to those who love chiles and pepper heat. So according to style, I'd say it hits it's mark.

I am a usual consumer of IPA's. This packaging caught my eye and then I saw the Serrano inside the bottle. Let me say I have never lost a chilie eating contest and have enough pictures on "walls of pain/flame". I enjoy heat and the diversity of chilies. Serrranos have a unique smell that I love. Upon opening the aroma of the pepper was there. I loved it. The color was yellow. The beer itself was lager and reminded me of an old Budweiser. To say it's undrinkable is a matter of what you like. I bit the end off of the pepper and allowed the rest to remain and swirl in the glass hoping to get more heat. It didn't help. I say crank up the heat and I'll try it again. Heck I'll drink it again just as it is.

A nice spicy chili beer poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The color is a clear golden yellow with little carbonation. Has a great spicy flavor. I really enjoy chili beers. A pretty good offering.

L: Pours brilliant gold under a 1” quickly dissipating sudsy white foam cap. Has a serrano looking chili floating in the bottle.
S: Chili aromas are detectable from a foot or more away. Smells like putting your nose into a jar of serranos. Not much malt or hops makes its way through the chili aromas.
T: Starts cool and creamy and then wham the chili hits with a fair amount of heat.
F: Medium hot chili heat in a light bodied and above average carbonated beer.
O: It is an interesting beer but I would just as soon have the chili in the food and use the beer to cool my mouth down.

Pours a dark golden color with head that quickly disappears. Smells like macro lager infused with chiles. Goes down burning...as expected and no macro flavor, which is a plus. Overall a decent chili beer. The level of spiciness is perfect for my tastes.

Ale and a chili pepper is really the only description you need. By itself the taste was horrid, however it had a really cool look with the clear glass and the light colored beer with a chili pepper floating in the bottom. Used the second bottle in a beer cheese dip recipe, that was great.

This one has to go as one of the top novelty beers out there for the simple fact that they include a whole serrano chili pepper in every 11.2 oz. bottle. Coupled with a clear glass bottle and the transparent yellow liquid, the highlight of the show is on full display. I split this with a friend at Cafe Craft in North Charleston, SC, but insisted that I got to keep the pepper (rock-paper-scissors for the win!). After pouring half in to a pint glass, it appears a little cloudier than I originally thought. Not even a hint of any foam on top. It looks like an extremely cheap macro-lager with an army green pepper ominously floating in the depths. Canned green beans, spicy pepper and a touch of vinegar in the nose. The flavor is pretty much what I expected. A watery adjunct with a slight corn flavor and pronounced pepper heat. The pepper starts out fairly strong and builds on your palate to create a burning sensation. In fact, the spiciness elicited a few sneezes in quick succession, then left a pleasant burn in my mouth and throat. This is as advertised. Mexican corn swill with a fantastic pepper punch. I just wish I would have let my friend eat the serrano pepper. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT eat that. I can't even describe the taste. It gives no appreciable added heat and fills your mouth with a disgusting flavor. Overall, this one is great if you like palate scorchers. I can appreciate this after sampling many purported pepper beers that give little to no spicy heat. I may be in the minority on this one, but I'd happily have it again.
