Dinner Ale? what a stupid bloody name, its not even an ale. Very industrial flavours dominate this brew. Not a good beer to have with food, not a good beer to have at all, this fails on so many levels, the name is just the start, this is shit. One to ignore.

Mass produced Australian beers from the big breweries may be labelled Lager, Pilsener, Bitter, Draught Ale etc but they are all basically the same "average but drinkable" golden lager meant to be served ice cold. Honestly- the difference between XXXX, VB, Fosters' and Toohey's New is a bee's dick at best!

So, Reschs Dinner Ale is just another member of the above big Aussie generic beer family. According to my 80-year-old Dad, Reschs Dinner Ale was popular during the 1950's and was considered a rather posh beer. He also says it tastes just the same now- I can't help thinking that the average age of the average Reschs DA drinker may be similarly octogenarian!
