Bottle: clear bottle, rubbish label. Not terribly enticing.

Appearance: light straw yellow with a rasonable lager head, dissipates as expected.

Aroma: again, fairly standard lager aroma - cereal grains, touch of hops and that's it. No metallic off smell.

Taste: follows the nose - fairly standard cereal grains, tiniest touch of grassy hops.

Aftertaste: flavours dissipate quickly, pretty standard for a cheap macro lager.

Mouth feel: again pretty standard - very light body and high carbonation. - perfect for the top end of Queensland.

Overall: for AU$40 a case (2012), this ain't bad at all. The bottle led me astray, but once you get into it, you realise it is a fairly standard lager - cereal grains, touch of hops. No metallic off smell or taste that you may get in most cheap lagers.

Pours gold with a fading head.
Nose shows cooked vegetables, grainy malt, cardboard notes, stale malt and faint spicy hints. Not great.
Sweet plain malt as a flavour first up followed by cardboard notes and stale beer. Finishes with an off-putting weak finish with very low bitterness.
Very watery body.

On tap at Salt in Cairns - from iPhone notes

Hmmmm this is an odd one. Looks the part in the glass, good head, good lace, but sadly all downhill after that.

Sweet!! Can't believe so much malt sweetness it gets cloying.

Called it quits after two schooners trying to support craft beer but let's have a Sav Blanc instead with dinner.

Bottled beer served in a pint glass.

Appearance -
Pours a clear golden amber colour. Leaves a thin head which dissipates quickly. Moderate lacing. Moderate density effervescence, with fast rising bubbles. Looks pretty standard, but the head is a bit thin.

Smell -
Mild aromas: sweetness, floral notes, tropical fruits and citrus, vanilla smoothness. Not a bad smelling beer if a bit on the weak side.

Taste -
Mostly soda water, yeast and baked bread with hints of citrus. Another standard mass produced Aussie beer then. A milder flavour than the craft beers you'll find and a bit watery and sweet for my liking. There was a slightly stale characteristic too.

Mouthfeel -
Low to moderate froth when chewed. Surprisingly weak fizz compared to the appearance. Refreshing nevertheless.

Overall -
Easy to drink and sessionable. There isn't a lot of character to be found in the beer, but can be had quite cheap and beats most of the budget, mainstream mass-produced beers in the Australian market. I see it being a reasonable barbecue beer, and something mild for casual beer drinkers. After all, it's good enough, very cheap and you probably won't be reaching for a premium craft beer after you've devoured chilli salsa soaked Doritos and a few snags.
Something I probably won't go out of my way to get again, but if it's on sale I'd probably think about a carton for a party.

Pours a clear deep golden with a biggish bright white head.Keg. Aromas of lemon, grain and cardboard, which just about carry through to the palate. Almost non-existent to taste and it’s gone before you know it - very little in the way of a finish. Light body, medium to full carbonation.
