330ml bottle from Yamaya Nagahoribashi (¥410):
Excellent stuff from Minoh here, again the brewery has delivered a very enjoyable offering & one that is easily the best of the four I've reviewed from them so far. Opening with an excellent combination of pine & citrus fruits alongside some resinous notes & touches of peach too, the beer is varied & very bitter with a lot going on & it's also one of the better Japanese beers that I tried on my recent trip. Well carbonated with a surprisingly full body & a smooth, dry feel that showed some sweetness further on, the beer is great from the start & one I'd definitely like to try again at some point.

A: Dull amber with an off-white head.
S: Hops, fruity I guess. Slightly metallic.
T: Bitter. Citrusy hops with some mango-like butteryness. A bit of orange rind. A slight touch of vanilla. Acidic and astringent. Not sessionable. Sharp mouthfeel with a nice froth from the head.
O: Pretty sound American style English pale ale. Nothing too inspirational.

Pretty decent take on the style. Definitely darker than expected. The aromas and taste are all a touch soft. Grapefruity nose and firmish bitterness on the palate. Not an assertive presence by any means. But it isn`t bad as such just a little lacklustre maybe...

Got this one on tap at Beer Belly in Osaka (nice bar BTW).
Minoh Pale Ale has a classic APA appearance. Slightly cloudy copper body with a generous white head that showed good retention and decent lacing. The nose is quite tempting, consisting of a mix of grapefruit, grainy malt and brown sugar. The taste profile is very clean with a surprising level of bitterness for a Japanese beer (drink enough... you'll know what I mean). Lots of grapefruit and mild pine resin delivers some solid west coast notes while a good dose of caramel keeps everything balanced. Fairly light body with moderate carbonation.
A very solid offering and good everyday drinker. It would be nice not to have to fly 5,500 miles to get my next pint of this.

m: very creamy and smooth

Slighty opaque and slight orange and red with a small white head.
Pale malt aroma with mild hop aroma.
Light pale malt flavor with a reserved hop profile. This is a well made lager lovers pale ale. The hops were mildly spicey.
This seems like an ideal ale to bring timid lager drinkers over to the ale camp, in that it is clean, mild yet has the warm malty character of an ale.
