We use new world exotic hops and introduce Santorini honey and citrus medica to create our flagship brew. Our Blonde is "dry hopped" to aromatic perfection. Best served ice cold, with Mediterranean fare.:

Ingredients: Water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops, yeast, blend of fragrant Santorini honey and Citrus Medica

330 ml green bottle on Santorini. 5% ABV.
A very good quality ale that's bold by Greek standards.
Very clean. Floral and spicy hops. Lasting, hoppy aftertaste.

I tried this beer on the Island of Santorini whilst vacationing in the Greek Isles. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had faint grains. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

Poured from a bottle at a hotel bar in Athens (the beautiful view and sunshine might affect me as much as the beer itself).

Smell of some sweet honey, bread and grains and herbal hops. Taste shifts more to herbal/floral earthy hops and sweet bread, lingering hop oil-slick finish.

Overall nice to sip in the sunshine, glad to get a local offering.

11.2oz bottle I believe I purchased at Huckleberry's in Spokane, Washington. According to the label (for which I had to bust out reading glasses-a first of doubtless many more as I advance towards total decrepitude), this is "lava rock filtered" and is brewed with honey and "essence of Citrus Medica Leaf."

Poured into a Jones Radiator (RIP) mug, this was an extremely clear golden color, with a thin white head that dropped quickly but never quite died out completely. Spotty, streaky lace.

Herbal, grassy hop aroma with a little bit of honeyish sweetness that is just barely discernible.

Taste is similar to the nose, except that the honeyish sweetness is much more obvious, mainly in the finish. It doesn't clash with the herbal hoppiness, which is more upfront.

Fairly light bodied, with a reasonably crisp mouthfeel.

Not a flavor bomb or a terribly gripping drinking experience, but quite a bit better than I expected for something purely purchased out of cheap curiosity.

a: clear golden color with some dark amber notes. 3 finger frothy white head

s: sweet grains, caramel malt, vanilla, sweet citrus

t: big sweet grains here. sweet grass wit some earthy depth, sweet citrus, big bready flavors, sweet apple. a touch of clove and gum. the finish is sweet and crackery. there is the slightest diactyl presence as well

m: lighter side of medium with not much carbonation

o: a light beer on the sweeter side. nothing amazing, but easy to drink and not off-putting. perhaps a bit too sweet for the style (if it is indeed brewed as a German Pilsner)

Volkan Santorini Blonde has a thick, white head, a murky, golden appearance, with fierce, tight bubble streams and lots of suspended tiny and not-so-tiny tan chunks. Aroma is of sweet, honey-topped, white wheat bread, sourdough, cracker, grass, and a bit of hard-stock paper. Taste is of those elements, with a shade of citrus fruit and a spice zing. Mouthfeel is medium, and Santorini Blonde finishes crisp and enjoyable.

L: Slightly cloudy, straw colored beer. Small, foamy head.

S: Clean smelling, slightly grassy

T: to rally getting the honey, but nice grainy flavor, slightly grassy and a hit of sweetness. Finish is dry.

M: Bubbly, medium light body, coats the mouth.

O: Sometimes, the key to a good beer is low expectations. Really a nice, light beer with good flavor. Refreshing.

found this in a small village liquor store in eastern Alberta. Slightly hazy, bright straw colour. The citrus and honey are very apparent aromas. Taste had the same citrus and slight honey along with a slight grainy malt. Not much bitterness for a pilsner.
I actually liked this beer a lot. Would be extremely refreshing on a hot afternoon in greece

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of floral honey notes are dominant with some light cereal notes. Taste is also a mix of cereal with clear floral honey notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Not the most complex beer out there but enjoyable nonetheless with great honey floral notes.
