Stopped in here after a White Sox game. The vibe is modern but comfortable with lots of art on display. There is seating at tables, couches and a large bar. The quality of the beer is top notch. The service was friendly and helpful. They have a large selection of a variety of different beer styles. We did not try the food on this visit but it looked good. I will definitely return.

Had to make a quick stop in here whilst in the area before a Sox game. Bus is only a couple blocks away, a plus. Place is tucked in the back of an industrial-ish corridor, much of which looks either abandoned or just very quiet, but not here: that hipster-heavy front door lets you know that beers are a-flowin' inside, kidz. Up the bit of stairs leads to a large-ish space, bar in center, tables and such flanking, a gaming area off to the side. A projector in the back was playing an episode of The X-Files. Partly modern, party hipster, altogether comfortable. Hit the bar to get some brews, including the Orkenoy collab and a couple from resident nanobrewing outfit Barra Brava (looking forward to their soccer-centric setup soon). Plenty of other stuff on offer, but most of it sees regular distro (not a real knock, just an observation). Food exists, but I didn't try any (saving myself for some ballpark pierogis!). Staff were kind and courteous, always a good sign. Pricing seemed about on par with the general area. Overall, a rather nice spot to have so relatively convenient to Comiskey, a place I plan on hitting many times in the future prior to watching my Sox blow whatever chances they have at the postseason.

Totally swank/cool vibe, neighborhood feel. Awesome beer with tons of variety on tap/cans and seltzer’s/kombucha/cider. They know beer here. Great food. One of my best visits in a while. Just off the beaten path of the rat race.

Cool spot in an industrial area, they have an arcade room with retro games. Pretty big place with large bar in middle and seats/ tables all around. We were there on a Saturday night and they had a DJ with strobe lighting, felt like a club. Cool place to visit.

Favorite brewery when I visit Chicago. The retro 90s vibe arcade games make you remember your favorite Seinfeld episodes and you start to feel the urge to hate the Yankees all over again. A must see when in the south side.

Near the White Sox ball yard.

Industrial area, industrial kinda space.

20 of their own fine brews on tap, and available to go in cans and bottles.

Chill, arty and funky atmosphere. Friendly and informative dude behind the sticks.

Off beat store sells the beers, clothing and other assorted stuff. A lot going on here, did I mention the game room full of pinball and video games?

Cool spot, well worth a visit.

Unassuming warehouse from the outside, clean and modern inside with artistic touches, framed art and plants in the windows. Central island bar with a cylindrical wooden sculpture hanging above it. Plate glass windows allow a view down into the brewery. The vibe was relaxed with a good crowd. Lumpen Radio on the speakers, bumping deep house, italo, and Prince on a Saturday afternoon.

Bartenders operated as a team, but individually Joe was very knowledgeable about brewery operations. Service was quick and friendly.

Selection was good, a variety of styles available in half or full pours. Most of them available to go in the adjacent swag shop also. Highlights were a Czech Pils, hazy “Nordic” IPA, and a guava wild ale brewed to commemorate Paul Nudd’s new two-story mural in the brewhouse.

Overall a really cool spot that makes a nice combo with Maria’s/Kimski in Bridgeport, also not far from Whiner. Definitely a must-see on the south side.

Vibe is a total hipster, new age joint which is filled with craft beer connoisseurs. In no way was I meant to say that as a negative. Should just be something to expect if you go there. This place is located in an commercial/industrial type of area about a mile and a half west of where the White Sox play so it isn't going to be something you would stumble on accidentally if you didn't know it was there.

The place is very high quality. Big oval shaped bar in the middle, plenty of space, cool artwork and decor, nice layout. Just awesome.

Service was fine on a busy Saturday when I was there, although they could have used maybe a couple of more servers. The bartenders were slammed. Also, not necessarily the biggest fan of having to go up to the bar and place and order for both beer and food. Just seems to create a line and clutters up the area around the beer a bit. But not terrible.

Selection included approximately 12-15 beers on draft and another 5-8 in cans/bottles for on-side consumption. Most of the selection was IPAs with a few other styles sprinkled in. There is a nice merchandise shop within the tap room as well as a cooler of beers from which you could purchase to-go.

Overall, I really like this place. The beers are good, the place is cool and although I didn't order any food, anything that people around us ordered certainly looked good. I would make this a regular stop if it were only closer to where I lived. But certainly worth a visit if you're in town or around the area.

Great space in an interesting warehouse district location. Definitely a destination, and a fun one at that.

Subtle street signage but the parked cars give it away. Up a few steps from street level, the large, well lit, inviting taproom, is eye-opening. From the classic Chicago brick walls, to the reclaimed wood slat ceiling, from the understated u-shaped jeston reminiscent bar to the splashes of wall art color. The brewhouse is below and can be observed behind glass walls from virtually everywhere in the taproom.

I think the music, college radio, on my visit, might be described as eclectic, but atmospheric focused give a relaxed, unintrusive feel.

Beers are experimental and fantastic, if expensive (nothing under $7). They are pushing the limits of yeasts and hops. The issue I have is breadth. No porter or stout but that might be seasonal.

Food is equally experimental from tea deviled eggs to vegetarian bbq everyone will find something they enjoy, IF they are willing to take that first step.

Service is young and energetic, but well trained and friendly.

i thought this place was incredible, a little bit south of downtown, occupying a cool old warehouse space with the taproom being up top, overlooking the brewery down below. its well lit by natural light through plenty of windows, and is absolutely packed on a saturday afternoon. we made a lap around the center bar and found a stool on a wall rail overlooking the production area, it was loud and happening in here, not relaxing but still cool. they have a bottle shop and store there, and some neat, sort of mikkeller/keith shore looking decor. they have an enormous beer list here, and it was hard to decide between a ton of exciting options, everything seemingly ambitious and unique, a very inspired list to say to say the least. we ended up loving everything we had, a dark berliner modeled on a pina colada, a yerba mate tea and guava sour, and beautiful pilsener with some really clever adjuncts. we got a ton of bottles to go as well, hard to pass up some of this stuff! they have a limited menu of sandwich type food here too, and somehow got our order out quickly and correctly amid the chaos, a tasty italian sausage sandwich. overall this is a tough place to chill at due to the noise and the volume of people in here, at least on a saturday, but the beers are some of the best in the city and the space is cool and unique, this will be on the short list to revisit when i return to chicago! we loved it!

Newly opened taproom a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth seeking out. Sampled 8 of the 12? beers they had on tap on our visit and all we're interesting and flavorful. A great addition to the Chicago brewery scene.
