Lemongrass and pine hoppy nose, light bodied. Decent bitterness and hop note on palate. Finishes dry and smooth.

Thanks to Drew for sending this one! Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 500 mL bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.
A: A hazy frothy gold, quite a bit of visible carbonation. Forms a half-finger of white foamy head that fades away fairly quickly.
S: Citrus and tropical fruit (I think from hops) and fleshy fruit (I'm assuming yeast esters). Cracker malts, yeasty, and a musty barnyard funk. The oatmeal flakes come across like some of the East Coast hazy IPAs. Some fresh hay and Belgian yeast. Different and interesting on the nose.
T: Belgian fruity yeast esters (pears, bananas, bubblegum, with a touch of clove) over citrus and tropical fruit hops. Cracker malts with the oatmeal backer fleshing it out, and still some barnyard and fresh field hay funk. Some oily resins mix with the fruity hop bitterness and the continued sweet esters at the swallow. The sweetness from the oaty backbone lasts.
M: Good carbonation sensation in an average body for a Belgian Pale Ale. Alcohol flavors stay low.
O: Quite different. I don’t have much to compare this to. The oatmeal is unmistakeable, but it plays well with the good hop flavors, as do the Belgian yeast esters with the mild funk. Interesting to say the least – and ultimately, I find it more appealing than any Belgian Pale Ale I’ve had. I like it.

Bottle shared by yourefragile. Thank you, Michael. Dark brown body with a thick, soapy, tan head. Oatmeal Belgian pale ale? Um...what? Fine for what it is, but perhaps two styles that weren't meant for one another.

On draft poured into a tulip. Look is golden, slighty hazy with a two finger rocky head formed.
Nose is familiar American hops. Floral and citrus followed by yeasty Belgian notes.
Hop forward for sure! Citrus again then Belgian yeast notes, followed by a lightly spicy and pepper finish.
Nice mouthfeel. Smooth with light to moderate carbonation. Slightly dry and crisp backend.
Great Belgian pale from Haw RiverFA. Tasty and refreshing
