Notes: In an ode to both our city and to one of our favorite bands, we brewed this immensely satisfying New England IPA with a medley of American hops along with a dose of wheat and oats. This unknown pleasure is sure to become a familiar favorite.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left lots of lacy specks of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of limes are present in the nose along with notes of honeydew melon and hints of passionfruit.
T: The taste follows the smell but has more balanced between the flavors of limes, honeydew melon, and passionfruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and somewhat juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The oats also seem to lend some smoothness to the mouthfeel.
O: The use of oats and wheat in this beer makes it very easy to drink. The aromas and flavors of hops also aren't nearly as strong compared to other beers in the style. This could potentially be considered as a Session New England IPA if there was such a style.

Pours a milky pale yellow. Mild tropical aroma. Tangy citrus flavor mixed with a milky sweetness. The two flavors don't go together very well. Smooth finish. Probably best to skip this one.

Bright white head, dimpled with solidly streaked lacing. The liquid more translucent to semi-opaque than puree, kind of yellow rust water hue. Admirable crispness to the nose with pepper, cracker to lemon notes, more herbaceous than dank, charcoal, the star fruit, pineapple, passion fruit scents somewhat demure. Light-bodied, dry but quite malty right off the bat. The carbonation offers nice pinpoint prickle. In turn plays up the lemon and white grapefruit citrus. Here too you get more fresh grassiness than damp dankness. The oats element has more clarity here. Melon, star fruit, apricot, not tropical per se, well balanced. Gets a bit tarry through the finish. High degree of drinkability, in large part due to its freshness and lighter weight. Not sure I would consider it a NEIPA but it seems everyone has to offer one these days whether they want to or not. (Canned 8/7/20)

Can purchased from Swan Dive in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like candied pineapple, grapefruit, sugar, pine, and cream of wheat.

This has some good qualities to it, but it finishes a bit too sugary sweet and candy-like for me to truly love it. The soft hop character is nice though, and there's a light but pleasant bitterness. It's just too malty/sugary sweet on the back end.

This is soft, with no booziness to it, but it just finishes a bit under attenuated and too sweet.

I wanted to like this one a bit more.

Look: Light orange and cloudy with a three finger white foam.
Smell: Not much aroma but what is there smells of malt and mild hops.
Taste: Not bad, not overly hop forward, light malt and a little bitterness.
Feel: Has the right kind of carbonation, not too thin, not too full.
Overall: Pretty good.

-pale yellow can pour with a deep haze and a 1 cm foam cap. The aroma is light with lemon, malt notes and a touch of pepper. The flavor is citrusy with no prominent elements. The hop bitterness is low. The body is a bit thin. The finish is dry. I was hoping for more.
