The inspiration for this beer came in the form of a summer farmers market and the abundance of fresh fruits and produce. The resulting IPA showcases a bright tropical aroma of stone fruits that balances the grapefruit acidity of the Chinook hops. The beer’s crisp profile refreshes and delights taste-buds and craves pairings such as slow-roasted pork shoulder or a slice of warm peach pie.

NOVEMBER 2023.
33 cl bottle from the renowned Brewpub and two-starred restaurant, taken out of the fridge and left to dissolve for 3 minutes. before being opened.
On the nose aromas of tropical hops and light herbaceous notes. The fruity notes of exotic and white fruit are amplified once poured.
The color is tending towards orange, veiled but not too much. The foam is abundant (in the right measure) and of medium structure, it never disappears from the room and is very tasty (just like peach).
Medium body in the mouth, supported by a carbonation that almost tickles the tongue and makes drinking very easy and pleasant.
The taste is characterized by peaches: white and yellow peach pulp, light more tropical notes (mango, melon) and a bitter finish in which more citrus (grapefruit) and also herbaceous and resinous notes emerge.
This light bitterness leaves room for the very pleasant taste of white peach peel on the palate for some time after swallowing, although the tongue is cleansed of these light citrus and resinous notes (Chinook hops were used).
Wonderful balance: peach flavor enhanced in a beer that remains an IPA in all respects, without compromising to enhance the fruit, which integrates very well within a product that already has its own identity.

2015 vintage; drank 8/24/15 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE fluffy off-white head (careful pouring!); a curtain of frothy lace.

Nectarine & cream notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Nectarine & wheat flavors up front; stabs of citrus bite on the finish. Lemon emerged as this warmed.

Flavorful, fruity & not too sweet; nicely balanced.

Had this on tap in the bar at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago, Poured into a 12 oz. snifter type glass

Color was a yellow/gold with a 1 finger head that lasted throughout. Good lacing.

Smell was fruity, with a hint tangerine. Taste was also fruity, with a slight bitterness.

Very smooth and easy drinking. Would definitely order this again.

Look: It pours amber with a white head and small beads. Head retention is excellent.

Smell: It has aromas of peach and white grapes. There is a low level of herbal notes to it with very low grainy smells.

Taste: It has strong peach, white grape, and herbal flavors. There are also some citrus flavors that are moderate with very low grainy elements.

Feel: It has a moderate body and is a bit high on the carbonation.

Overall, this peachy elements outshine the nectarine especially in the aroma. With that said, there are good combinations of hops.

12 oz bottle of Sliced Nectarine IPA from The Wall of Beer (SC). No date stamp found.
Served in a pint glass which filled to the top with a generous, thick, off-white head over a clear copper body.
Aroma: nectarines and hops with hints of ripe peaches, yeast and baked bread.
Flavor: less striking peach/nectarine component but nicely fruity. Moderate bitterness for style with an appropriate hop hit.
Feel: very good carbonation level and feel in a medium+ body.
