Big flavors do not have to be synonymous with one-and-done beers. We love dessert just as much as we love dark beer and we think that enjoying more than one of either should never be a problem. In this medium-bodied Baltic Porter we use a combination of specialty malts and caramel to capture rich flavors like chocolate, caramel and vanilla alongside a lager yeast that brings a clean finish. This Baltic Porter pairs well with dishes such as chocolate mole or caramel flan.

Pours dark brownish black with a quickly dissipating tan head.
Initially its hard to pick up a smell because there are so many coming from this beer, but it seemed to settle on chocolate and cinnamon. Lots of flavors: you definitely get chocolate, cinnamon and some carmely malts. This beer has no idea what it is. There's so much going on that the grand sum is lesser than each of the parts.
Feel is pretty smooth with some strong carbonation. The strong carbonation may also contribute to the difficulty picking up the flavors in this one.
Overall I just can't get past the fact that this beer is trying to be too much at once which really brings the overall beer down.

Bottle From Total Wine - Henderson. Tile says it all, pretty descriptive. Dark brown, opaque, small skin of beige head. Sweet, chocolaty aroma, done caramel. Taste brings in some of the cinnamon. Kind of sweet for the style, but it works.

Enjoyed the first ones I bought, but just got a batch which was massively over carbonated... Ie. I needed 3 glasses to catch the foam :( ie it was like opening a bottle of champagne.
And to be sure, I opened a second bottle. reducing my overall score. Still like the taste.

Poured bottle into shaker pint. deep dark ruby brown. Khaki head.
Nose is caramel, chocolate, vanilla. Slightly more balanced than the taste.
Taste follows w/ Roasted notes on the finish. Vanilla more muted.
The body is lighter than expected. Medium with a nice carb.
Delicious, underrated brew. Smoother if had straight from the bottle.

Had this beer for breakfast one Saturday. Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Dark brown body with nice beige head and great curtain lacing. Pleasant chocolate smell and taste. A bit of an earthy roasted malt background. I would have like this to be more pronounced. Overall pretty good.

Smells like what you expect but taste unexpectedly funky. Guess that's just the difference between a Baltic porter and a regular porter. If you like dark beer and fermentated flavor this is for you
