For its age it has held up incredibly well. Cinnamon dominates

Christmas tasting. Inky black pour, oily and slick. Aroma favors the nuts, taste is more of the roast grains and adjuncts. Lingering breakfast flavors

Got this from desp59 a while back. Cheers!

Bourbon barrel imperial stout with coffee cinnamon and pecan
APPEARANCE: Black pour yields a 2+ finger, medium looking, creamy dark tan head with very good retention. Pitch black body with touches of carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a thick, full wisp. Splotchy wisp remains leaving touches of lacing down the glass as it empties. Solid looking.
SMELL: Pecan nuts, cookies dough, milk chocolate and brownies, vanilla cream with some hints roasted coffee on the nose. Some light bourbon and oak from the barrel aging too. Bold and very much like desert in a glass.
TASTE: Lots of desert flavors up front, with pecan nuts, cookie dough, milk chocolate, sweet vanilla and toffee sweetness, roasted coffee and some bourbon barrel up front. Flavorful. A bit of alcohol at the swallow, then a bold finish of sweet pecan, cookies and brownies, milk chocolate, sweet vanilla cream, some bitter coffee flavors as well as a base of bourbon and oak lingers on the palate. Lots of flavor from the start to the finish.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down okay with a bit of a burn and finishes a touch mouth-coating. A bit of heat lingers.
OVERALL: Another great Cycle imperial stout. This one is decadent with lots of desert and cookie character all over it. The look and feel are solid as well. How these guys continue to crank out top notch stuff like this is beyond me. I know pastry stouts are perhaps not in style any more, but I’ve never been one to be in style. Great stuff and well worth checking out if you’re into this type of stuff. Thanks again, desp59!

Pours an inky black with a dense, mocha-colored head. Great nose - cinnamon, hazelnut an cocoa. Taste follows nose; however, I also get a little heat. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an easy, even carbonation. Overall, another great stout from Cycle, albeit not my favorite.

Syrupy black with a bubbly, uneven dark brown collar.
This one's definitely a dessert beer, but it's somehow not too sweet. Nougat, chocolate, roasty pecan that brings to mind maple and a bit of booze. Cinnamon isn't too big. The body has a little more heft than a typical Cycle Stout, which is good.

Fantastic adjunct stout. I'm a sucker for pecan pie and this beer delivers on the sweet nutty and bourbon flavors. The coffee bitterness really helps to round out the sweetness, while the cinnamon adds complexity. I could do without the cinnamon overall, but that's probably my specific preference. Mouthfeel is good, but is a little high on the carbonation level for the style.

650 mL bottle. Black body. Smells of cinnamon, nuts, whiskey, and chocolate. Nice. Tastes much the same. Nuts, cinnamon, chocolate. Whiskey back end. Boozy, but very tasty. Medium heavy. Good adjunct flavors. Dessert beer for sure.
