Got this one from desp59 a while back. Thanks, man!

From a bomber into a snifter
Bourbon barrel aged maple stout with barrel aged coffee
Greatest Hits Edition

APPEARANCE: Pours out pitch black, opaque, yielding a three finger, medium looking, creamy, dark mocha colored heat with good retention. Pitch black body with no carbonation evident. Head eventually fades to a full, creamy cap, then to a splotchy wisp and ring.

SMELL: Big nose with plenty of maple syrup right off the bat. Sweet maple with cream, vanilla notes, espresso coffee, milk chocolate and some nice bourbon barrel character. Really decadent. Smells like creamy coffee and pancakes.

TASTE: Bourbon barrel flavors up front with some sweet maple syrup, vanilla cream and milk chocolate up front. Light coffee as well. Really flavorful. Some bourbon at the swallow, moving into a big, bold finish of bourbon, oak, sweet maple syrup, milk chocolate and vanilla cream, with some well measured creamy bitter espresso lingering on the palate. Just lovely.

PALATE: Fuller body and lower levels of carbonation. Enough weight, creamy and silky on the palate, goes down slick and smooth, no bite, and finishes somewhat sticky. Some coffee bitterness and bourbon heat linger.

OVERALL: This is awesome. Someone compared this to Morning Delight, though this one has obviously seen the inside of a barrel. Cycle is one of the best barrel aged stout brewers in the world and this is also one of their best efforts. The look and head are stellar, the feel is right up my alley for the style, and the maple, coffee and bourbon character here just mesh ever so seamlessly. If I could brew beer like this, I’d stop buying it. Absolutely outstanding and worth waiting in line for. Sometimes I think Cycle started brewing just because I needed them to. Thanks again, desp!

Deep, opaque brown. No head with some lacing. Smell is heavy maple and coffee. Flavor is immense maple. As it warms the coffee shines as well. Moderate to thick body. Overall this is a damn tasty concoction.

Bomber into a snifter appears black in color with a khaki head that fades leaving stringy lace.

Nose is maple, chocolate, coffee and black licorice. It tastes of chocolate liquor, anise, oak with coffee, maple and earthiness into the aftertaste.

This is medium to full bodied with modest carbonation. Overall a pleasant sipper.
