Got this one from desp a while back. Cheers!

From a bomber into a snifter
Maple barrel aged &+ Imperial stout with cinnamon, vanilla and chili peppers

APPEARANCE: Super syrupy pour is black and silky. Pours a thin wisp that quickly fades to a ring and splotchy notes. Pitch black body and no carbonation. Ring remains until the end but leaves no real lacing on the glass. This is syrupy stuff, which makes the formation of a nice head quite tough.

SMELL: Lots of maple syrup, bourbon, vanilla and cream, sweet butterscotch and toffee aromas, milk chocolate, cinnamon spices and notes of chili peppers in the back.

TASTE: Maple syrup, bourbon, oak notes and some vanilla cream up front. Some decent chili pepper heat and boozy bourbon at the swallow, moving into a big and bold finish of maple syrup, bourbon, vanilla cream, sweet butterscotch, toffee and milk chocolate, some nice cinnamon character and some medium chili pepper heat lingering on the palate. Really decadent and sweet maple syrup is lovely.

PALATE: Medium body medium carbonation. Really slick and syrupy on the palate, goes down smooth and silky with a chili bite at the swallow, finishing quite sticky on the palate. Sweetness and some heat linger.

OVERALL: More awesomeness. This really is &+ with some maple syrup, just as advertised. Super silky, slick and syrupy sweet with the right amount of cinnamon and chili spice to give it a kick. The formation of a head would be pretty, which would also let some of the carbonation out and make it a little smoother in the feel, but as it is now, it’s not in the way. It’s just not quite as smooth as the Greatest Hits &+ is. In any case, this is top notch stuff and just confirms my love affair with this brewery yet again. Thanks again, desp! You rule.

650ml bottle, snifter glass. Darker black body, one finger white head, good retention and no lacing. Smell is big pepper heat without much vegetal presence, a fair bit of spicy cinnamon, touch of whiskey, milk chocolate. Flavour follows; cinnamon spice, milk chocolate, a bit of toasted malt, touch of espresso roast, with a fairly decent pepper heat on the backend. The maple barrels don't really seem to announce itself, sadly. Still, pretty solid chili pepper stout. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, smooth on the tongue with a spice-forward heat on the finish that lingers for a while.

This one is a rare 5 for me, and my favorite of the week day beers

looks great in the glass

smell immediately tells me this is going to be amazing, chocolate, vanilla bourbon.

Taste is off the charts, super flavorful and complex. pepper heat shows up perfectly in the back end

mouthfeel is normal cycle, spot on

overall this was a real treat, and so far its my favorite beer of the year

appreciate @nate41909 for sending it over

This one pours a very dark black color, with a tiny wispy head, and no lacing.

This smells like maple syrup, oak spice, marshmallow, brown sugar, bourbon, pepper spice, and cinnamon.

Regular &+ is a delicious beer, and aging it in maple bourbon barrels just amplifies it's great qualities. Somehow, the pepper character on this maple version is a bit more pronounced than the regular bourbon version. To be fair, there will be some sips with no pepper, and then a subsequent sip will have a big pepper blast. The maple character is dark, rich, and adds an earthy sweetness to the more traditional pastry sweetness here, as this somehow has more vanilla flavor than the vanilla solo movie that was Monday. There's only a hint of cinnamon, and not a ton of bourbon flavor- just a hint on the finish.

This is medium bodied, sticky and rich, with a lower level of carbonation.

This is just the slightest hair behind Tuesday for the star of 2018 set. It's again pastry stout at it's most ridiculous and delicious.

This taste like Mexican French toast (if that’s a thing). Huge maple on the nose, sweet cinnamon in the taste and a little heat on the back in. Wonderful beer.

A: Poured into a snifter to a deep black beer topped by a finger of dense dark tan head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of cinnamon, peppers, maple, and vanilla, This smells like a fresh churro with some spicy peppers on the side
T: Taste is cinnamon, maple, slight heat from the peppers. vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted malts and a hint of coffee. Just a bit of oak on the palate as well. Swallow is more cinnamon and peppers with more maple, vanilla, oak, coffee and chocolate
M: This beer is thick and slightly silky on the palate with soft carbonation which is adequate for the style. The beer has a finish that is a little drying which is nice.
O: Overall this series just keeps getting better, The flavors are all top notch and fantastic which gives this beer an insane amount of complexity and depth of flavor. Definitely a very enjoyable drink that is worth a try if you can get your hands on it.
