This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like spicy cinnamon candy, with big coffee tones, dark fruit, chocolate fudge, and vanilla.

Of the added flavorings, the cinnamon comes through most strongly, with a tangy but sweet character added. The coffee plays against it nicely, adding slight bourbon, caramel and huge chocolate notes. That dovetails into the already super chocolate-forward base stout. The vanilla is a cameo here, adding a slight creamy sweetness. There’s not a ton of barrel, but that’s or for the course with Cycle.

This is creamy and rich, with no booziness and a decent level of drinkability.

There’s *maybe* too much cinnamon here, but it still tastes pretty wonderful to me.

Midnight black with a brown foam ring. Cinnamon start it off in the nose, oh great another ba mexican chocolate stout, but wait, hey there is great coffee character, very rich, with huge fudgey chocolate and bourbon, with a kiss of vanilla and wood. Now this is where it gets really interesting, because coffee actually leads in the taste, with chocolate and oak laden bourbon being progressively baked in. Cinnamon and a kiss of vanilla finish it off, with hints of caramel popping out of the woodwork now and then. Feel is artfully boozy, smooth, yes even with the cinnamon it is smooth, heavy, thick, and full, typical of cycle. Thought this was one of their better ones in the series, different direction than expected which was welcomed.
