Viscous black body with patches of a tan head. Smell is chock full of sweet honey, maple, vanilla, and boozy bourbon. Taste has all of these sweet ingredients invade a malty and thick stout, giving a flavoring that sees chocolate and molasses added to the mix. Very sweet, cloys a little, sticky and sneaky hot on the booze. Dessert all the way

650ml capped bottle, snifter glass. Dark black body, one finger offwhite head, good retention and bits of lacing. Smell is rich maple and vanilla, big milk chocolate fudge, a bit of cocoa and whiskey heat. It's well integrated and really expresses itself well on the palate. Maple and milk chocolate sweetness, cocoa and whiskey adds a fair bit of bitterness and complexity to it, finished off by a distinct honeyed sweetness, and a slick fuller bodied mouthfeel probably from the vanilla contribution. This has a nice body overall, both a sipper and an easy drinker for a stout. Cycle continues to produce underrated barrel-aged stouts, and at some point, people stopped paying attention, which is their loss.

poured from a 22oz bomber into a snifter. pours a shiny black with mocha head that quickly fades. aromas of bourbon & chocolate mainly. that typical cycle BA stout smell that i’ve really grown to like. taste is sweet chocolate, bourbon, a smidgen of honey. it’s quite tasty. i don’t know if i get the individual barrels but i get a bourbon-forward chocolate taste with a background of an undetectable but delightful sweetness. feel is low carb but it’s a little thinner than some of the other cycle stouts i’ve had of late. still, a delicious offering and really a perfect mashup of a non-adjunct BA stout and a pastry stout, with the pastry portion being the various barrel treatments.

This one pours a pretty dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells phenomenal, boozy honey, sweet dark maple, chocolate fudge, coffee, vanilla cream, and some light oak.

This has some complex and decadent barrel character. I mostly get maple and honey from the barrels, a deep and dark maple character, and an earthy/not too sweet honey flavor. There's some light creamy vanilla, too, a touch of roast, some caramel (from the bourbon?) and loads of fudgy sweet chocolate. It's definitely sweet but never even comes close to cloying territory.

This is thick and chewy, and quite creamy, with a good level of drinkability, and a soft/lower level of carbonation.

This is absolutely a delight to drink, and a really fun concept for a stout.
