You already know about the beer quality. Come check out the brewery for a great laid-back atmosphere that is representative of the St. Pete culture. Great prices on crowlers. And while the barrel-aged bottles sell out fast, they can stay on tap for quite a while.

Selection is a hard one to answer honestly. Either they have 6 basic beers on tap, nothing special, not sure why they are still open for the day.....or they have stellar selection; all taps are flowing and 3,4,5,6 of them are BA beers. It's a huge hit and miss. But TOTALLY worth it on the hit days. That said, much love goes out to their flagships!

I was super pumped to finally visit Cycle while in town for HunaDay. I know they had a lot going on that week, but I was disappointed with the service and lack of beer choices. I wanted nothing more than to try a stout from them, but they didn't have a single one on tap. I wasn't expecting something Rare, but surly some type of stout. Got an IPA and Cream and Sugar. Both were okay.

The service was poor. Again, it was a busy week and we all expect to encounter a few "too cool" servers, but damn, its okay to speak to your customers in a friendly way. There was a taller server with long hair who seemed to enjoy his job. Everyone else seemed put out by the influx of customers that day.

Side note, I went after their BA festival and inquired about any bottles available. They said they were all sold out, which is understandable. However, I noticed employees bringing bottles out constantly for certain people and selling them. That sort of thing happens, but it was disappointing to see it during beer week when there are a ton of people witnessing it.

Because their beers are so coveted I may try again when in town. First impression wasn't great though.

My second place that I visited during my stay in Florida. Thought it was quite cool to actually cycle to Cycle brewing company from the place I was staying in St. Pete. I arrived with a couple friends a couple hours after their event(BA day) and there wasn't a very large selection. Lots of bikes and gears on the wall that made the theme of the place look pretty cool. The place was tiny and there weren't a load of people there at the time. I had an IPA but I was hoping to try one of the weekday series. Unfortunately none of those beers were on tap. Overall a decent place that is definitely worth a visit.

This Florida thing, it does not suck. And I must admit, the ball of fire in the sky brings me some warmth and joy. Out and about in St. Pete now, having done did the Dali thing. I am left with much sadness over not having seen ‘Atomicus’, that which can only be shaken off with a beers…

In a strip on Central, we parked nearly in front of the place as ones do when ones can. Enter in through the garage door up to the bar, an ‘L’ of light slat wood with a black panel base, and seating for about a baker’s dozen on yellow, green, & blue metal chairs. Barback holds a dozen logo sprocket handle taps on stainless steel to one side, and there’s another 12 tap tower on the front side below a large Cycle Brewing sign. Tap selections are displayed in alt colored chalk on the wall to the right all blackboarded up and again on the side wall; beer, style, ABV, and pricing for half & full pours, and crowl & growl, where applicable. Swag & growls displayed countered below, a wall mounted bicycle rack to the rear, and a 7 barrel system in a room to the rear rear.

Dark stucco ceiling with exposed duct work. Strung lighting along the perimeter and over the bar, & drop pan lamps above the adjacent seating. Honeycomb hexagon tiled floorings white with infrequent blue flowers. glass front wall with views of the curb. A handful of mix & match tables sit forward the bar and a ½ dozen chunk of wood shorty table nooks amongst art on the far white wall. There’s a great Bowie Aladdin Sane piece there, and a very cool Warriors (come out and pla-a-a-ay) print. And three picnics out front curbside, where we have set up so that D may get her daily recommended allowance of vitamin sunshine.

14 taps (The Dude, Porter, 6.4%; The Dude with vanilla, Porter, 6.4%; Cream and Sugar, please, coffee Porter, 5%; Ryerish Red, Irish Red Ale, 5.5%; Peloton, Czech Pils, 5%; Bottom of the 9th, Brown Ale, 5.3%; O.B.B. Brett Saison, 6.2%; Unicycle: Moteuka Pale Ale, 6.1%; Tropical Fantasy, IPA, 5%; Crank IPA, 7%; Pedal Brakes, session IPA, 4.9%; Fixie, session IPA, 4.7%; Rickshaw, Nelson Double IPA, 9%; RIPA, Rye IPA, 5.8%).

Pressed for time and there being no sampler to speak of, I took in shortys of the Unicycle: Moteuka Pale Ale (very nicely done), O.B.B. Brett Saison, 6.2% (a good bretty betty), and Tropical Fantasy IPA (a solid IPA). Good selection and the beers were clean and sharp. I would have liked more time here to run through the hoppyz, but there’s much to see and do and many miles to go, yet.

Was so pumped when i finally had a chance to visit! I talked this place up to my father-in-law and was able to get him to make the long trek from Orlando :-)

Atmosphere was nice, but I clearly missed out on the great stuff. I feel like Cycle is known for their stouts and to not have any available made me sad. I know its tough, given it was Craft beer week the prior week, but would be nice to always have something on tap that really gives visitors a taste of what you are about.

Best thing they had was Cream And Sugar Please, which wasn't bad.

Maybe my next visit...
