You can rate this with good beer stores or you can rate this at it location. The selection is just ok and it seems like they slap $10.49 and up on any six pack that comes in automatically, plus you need to be careful as I have gotten the sometimes musty old beer a few times. On the other hand, they do have some good beers and they also have a very good selection local North and South Carolina beers of which some are very good. Of course it's also in a town which doesn't really offer a load of crafts and stores so the selection is about as good as it gets in the area. You can find some good stuff here.

A fairly extensive selection compared to what I saw in N Myrtle, especially in breadth. A mix of national craft (including some higher end stuff) with regional offerings. Dates were hit and miss, but not unexpected for a near-the-beach large footprint store that is likely mixing the clientele of non-craft and craft beer drinkers. Having a connected liquor store was nice (for someone from a government run liquor state).

A much larger store area dedicated to beer than at the other liquor/wine/beer places that I have stopped - the beer/wine section was about 50% of the store space...otherwise it had the vibe of a grocery store/drug store - just a place to grab something and leave. Not really anyone hanging around and any discussions between patrons.

There is a handful of decently long aisles dedicated to craft beer as well as a couple of cooler doors. Probably the largest amount of shelf space I have seen dedicated to craft in the area but be sure to check dates and seasonals as I saw a couple that were more than a touch out of season. I should note there is a small section of singles available.

The cashier was friendly and quick but did not seem to have any special beer knowledge though I happened to luck into a distributor rep being in the store giving me some information on things that I had just missed and what was coming soon.

This place probably has the largest selection in the Myrtle/North Myrtle area that I have visited over the last couple of years (since Piggly Wiggly Market Commons closed) - I did stay towards the Northern end of Myrtle so I have not checked out any of the places in Pawleys/Surfside/Murrells Inlet. There was a decent selection of local/regional (Southeast/South)/national craft brands as well as a few that I had not seen in any other local shops. Decent selection of international beers with a heavier focus on Germany/England/Belgium and a handful of South American/Caribbean beers.

Can't complain. Beer, wine, and booze all at the same location. Beer selection isn't 'rar' but has many local staples that are difficult to find in other places.

Pavilion in North Myrtle has a great selection of harder to find brews so I was excited when I found this place and the beers they had available.

The staff was friendly and knew where things were but didn't come across as fans of the product, rather just a job. My vibe score would have been higher.

Now that the Piggly Wiggly at Common Market is closed this is a perfect replacement.

Two part store liquor on one side and beer and wine on other. Must have to do it state or local law. Both have really good selection. Staff was very helpful in steering me towards local craft beer. All recommendations were good!

First stop in my stay on Myrtle Beach. No real reference for a SC store but they had a healthy selection of U.S. micros which outshined the very smaller import selection. They do not break packs FYI.

If you're in North Myrtle Beach and don't want to drive all the way to The Piggly Wiggly at Market Commons for craft beer, than this is your stop. Decent selection. Decent price. And the growler station packs a few surprises. Three weeks after the release of Mexican Cake the purveyor told me he'd be hooking up his only keg of MC for the week of July 4th. But, you must remember, this is Myrtle Beach- check your expectations at the door. It's a decent shop overall, but for NMB, this is about as first rate as it gets. But be warned, not everything is as fresh as it should be, and they don't do singles to help clear shelves. But they did have an Avery barrel aged stout for $12 that would run you $15 in California, so I suppose the prices are competitive. Overall a decent place to grab beer. But if you really want selection (again, a relative term) hop on down to the Pig at Market Commons. It's the best "bottle shop" around.

Can't believe I've passed this place up for the past few years when visiting the inlaws beach house. Selection was much better than expected, also has a small growler station (picked up coconut Victory at Sea). The main guy working there was kind of a prick. But overall the selection was good enough to save me the extra 30 minute drive to Piggly Wiggly. only downside is that they don't have a build your own 6pack section, which kept me from purchasing an additional 12 beers or so.

This is my type of place. No service to speak of which to me means, employees that don't know their beer, don't give a fuck about their job, and therefore local beer folk are turned off to the store. This means that good shit that flies off the shelf at Byrd's beer at Piggly Wiggly sits on shelves here for a long time. Byrd might get more limited shit, but for popular brews that don't stay on shelves for more than a day at more popular spots, this is the place to go. I left here with way more beer than I did Piggly Wiggly my last stop in Myrtle.

Stopped in here early one morning looking for some craft beer while at the beach. I also wanted to try to find some local SC beers to bring home to VA, as well.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable an I was in and out with a cart full of Westbrook, Holy City and Coast brews. All were cold, fresh and reasonably priced. Great place to stop and load up for the beach or the golf courses in Myrtle Beach.

This is the place to go if you are in N Myrtle Beach, is it better than the Pig in MB?, no but manager has really stepped up his game here within the last year. Lots of variety here Westbrook, Coast, Bells, Founders, Victory, Stone, Laganitas, etc. +imports. They do get some of the special releases and have a growler station. Check it out if you're in town.

Edit: Since my post about this place I'm sorry to report that the former manager has passed away, he was a really great guy that was trying to elevate this place. Now there is a new manager that just doesn't seem to me to care a whole lot about the direction this place is going, which is downhill.

The short is that in the craft beer wasteland that is North Myrtle Beach, this is the best bottle shop in the area. They have a large selection of bombers, 4 and 6 packs. They also have 4 beers on tap that you can get growler fills of.

The stand out beers during my visit (originally being from the east coast and now living on the west coast) were:

Westbrook - Gose, IPA, Citrus Ninja (seasonal)
Coast - Boy King DIPA, HopArt
B. Nektar - Dark Fang, Zombie Killer
Weyerbacher - Riserva 2012

Other interesting breweries: Founders, Goose Island, Victory, and more.

They also had a decent selection of Belgians.

The cashier was friendly and let me know that a case of Boy King was coming in later in the afternoon which was very nice.
