Stone Brewing Tap Room is located in the Gaslamp District of San Diego right next to Petco Park. This is a nice location with a small park area outside. Also, you have lots of food options in the area.
This location is a medium-sized space compared to other Stone tasting rooms. They probably had 15-20 beers on tap.
Nice place to enjoy some Stone beers in this part of San Diego.

Nice quick place downtown to grab Stone Merch and beers. They always have like 30 taps to enjoy a flight
Will revisit for sure anytime I'm in SD. No food but you're Downtown you'll be able to work that out. CHEERS

Beer Geek central for hop heads. Absolutely the freshest Stone IPAs I have ever tasted. My favorite was the double dry hopped Enjoy By. One of the hoppiest beers I have tasted. Heavy rock music in the background adds to the Stone mystique. Not a place for a quiet drink. The bartenders are very informative. A number of the beers are not available in stores or nationally like the DDH Enjoy By.
It’s off the main st next to the back of the ball field. If you aren’t driving take an Uber.

I visited the Stone Brewing Tap Room within hours of arriving in San Diego this past Wednesday and visited again once more during my trip.
The bar is tucked down on J Street right next to Petco Park, the home of the Padres. It seems like an amazing place to pre-game a baseball game. The vibe is cool. There is a variety of seat options including the bar and an array of different furniture. All ordering is done at the bar, but otherwise you can sit where you like. Checkers and maybe Chess are available to play, and the place has a fantastic laid-back feel.
All of the beers are Stone's, whether they come from the production brewery or the brewpub. There were 20 beers on tap and a cask at the time of my visit.
All beers are available in 4 oz and 8 ounce pours. Beers that are under 8% ABV are also available as pints. I went the 8 oz route and had four beers: the Enjoy By 10.31.15 IPA, Ruination 2.0, a brown ale that was barrel-aged on sour cherries, and cask Cali-Belgique that was conditioned on mango, cardamom, and pistachios. The beers were great, as expected, with the barrel-aged brown standing out most.
While I didn't eat while I was there, there are salads and some very tasty looking flatbreads, along with a few small plates...hummus and pretzels, if I recall.
It was a great experience. The feel is cool. The beer is fantastic. The weather is San Diego. Highly recommend.

Right near Petco, and about a 5 minute walk from the downtown hotels. We went several hours before a ball game for some early afternoon samplers. The joint was laid back, quiet, and decorated nicely with dark wood, cool fixtures, and lots of gargoyle shit. Stone. About 16-20 taps with everything from the basic Stone beers to some interesting one offs. Laid back vibe (which I love), and cool bartenders. Ready to roll when you needed them, more than willing to chat and suggest options, and out of your face when you're settled. I tried some pours like the Mutt Brown, as well as crazy stuff like a Sour Brown aged in oak with (insert name here) tart cherries, and a cool Imperial Stout variant. My buddies tried just about every IPA and light Belgian on the board. Really nice variety of styles, and lots of IPAs. They sell bottles as well, if that is what you're looking for. I really liked this place, and would suggest a visit when you're in town. Very chill a few hours before a game (but I think it might get a bit crazy closer to game time).

Great location, especially for baseball fans. Wen't during a game and were the only ones there, but I imagine the place gets crazy before/after a game.

Located next to the ballpark overlooking the picnic area. The space itself is not too big. There is a long bar that can seat about 10 people. There are some bottle light fixtures and a few tables.
There were 16 Stone beers on draft and a refridgerator holding many different beers. There are some souvenirs available too.
Definitely worthy of a stop if you are around the stadium.
