Fresh orange. Peel and all. Leaves a nice bitterness at the end.

On tap at Hamilton Family Brewery in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Pours a murky golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, wheat, yeast, spice, and slight dried citrus peel aromas. Taste is much the same with wheat, yeast, dried citrus peel, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable, but nothing really stands out about this one.
Serving type: on tap.

A pale wheat ale brewed with oranges, the 909 is a reference to the Inland Empire. Its flavor takes on a split personality of hefeweizen and pale wheat ale, and a splash of orange. It's a solid beer, but among wheat ales with orange, I prefer Hangar 24's version more.
