Notes:
Marihana, which means “hop flower” in Japanese, has a delicate, citrusy hop aroma. With the contrast of its light golden hues and fluffy white head, this session IPA delivers a highly drinkable beer without sacrificing on flavor. The beautiful aroma and sophisticated bitterness, combined with the balance of hops, gives this beer everything one could want in an IPA, with a lower alcohol content for drinkability.

Pours a slightly hazy straw with a rocky white head.
Aroma is grapefruit, guava, weed, oranges, and smarties.
Flavor is pine, weed, and orange pith. Very refreshing bitterness. Bit of guava and smarties in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is not noticeable.
Overall, this is the easiest of the Coedo beers for me to reach for. It scratches the hoppy beer itch very well, is inexpensive (for Japanese craft), and it's easy drinking and refreshing. That being said, it's not some super amazing beer to chase after, just a good work horse.

Very pale straw color with no head. Really nice nose of flowery terse hops. That might the best thing about this Japanese session because there’s not much complexity in the taste. Not to say it tastes bad but a let down after that wonderful aroma. Slight piney: slightly fruity yet dry. Interesting to find a Japanese craft brewery but hoped for more.

I was wondering why they named this beer "marihana"... Although they gave it a japanese character (毬花, lit. "ball flower"), I rather sense the reason behind it being the resemblance of hops to another - specific - species of plantae? I might be wrong, but anyway.
Looks a bit pale but not surprisingly for a session IPA. Smells quite citrusy, I guess Citras have been used mostpy when hopping this beer. The mouthfeel is quite crisp and immediately bitter, bitterness is present overall with dry carbonation which I found nice in this case, but by this time I'm not sure if it is the taste or rather the feel.
Nevertheless, you won't be waking up screaming for this beer. Not bad, a good average. Kiuchi made a way better session IPA for Hitachino Nest though.
