Suiyoubi no Neko ("Wednesday Cat") is made for happy hump days. Spiced with orange peels and coriander seeds, this Belgian White Ale has a light citrus note and a smooth finish that comes from wheat. This "meowsome" beer will help you get through the rest of the week!

May 2014: 350 ml can, ABV 4.5%. Will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pale yellow colour, almost crystal clear, appears to be filtered. Moderate to low white head. Strong aroma of orange peel and coriander, also banana and cloves. Refreshing flavour, banana, cloves, coriander and orange peel. Tastes like a hybrid of kristallweizen and witbier. A decent summer refreshment.

A well done mild Belgian style ale; mild in both alcohol and flavor, but with a notable Belgian yeast flavor. Nothing extreme, but a nice rendition of the style. Lacks some of the crispness of a real Belgian Wit (St. Bernardus for example) but goes down well after a long day of Tokyo sightseeing.

Pours a clear mid-gold with an uneven, thin head.
Aroma is cloves, orange peel, and coriander.
Flavor is heavy on cloves, followed by orange peel and coriander. I significant anise vibe as well. A little crackery in the finish. Moderately sweet throughout, with a slightly drying finish.
Mouthfeel is mid-heavy bodied with moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is essentially imperceivable.
Overall, this is a refreshing beer that fails to hit some essential marks for its style.

Pours clear golden yellow with white frothy head. Beautiful notes of Belgium style spice (clove and banana) prepares the palate for this wonderful Japanese craft made Belgium style white ale.
