Don’t know if I’m unknowingly sipping on year-old cans (no date stamp) or the aroma and taste profiles on this one just don’t live up to the billing. The look is gorgeous for a classic WC IPA, with a wonderful deep copper body, crystal clear liquid, and huge dirty white head of foam. And the mouthfeel is near-perfect for an IPA, wonderfully chewy and oily and substantial without being sticky. But the nose is pretty modest, with sweet malts, pine resin, grapefruit, and juniper standing out but not in bold ways. The flavor profile is a bit more pronounced but largely hits the same notes with some extra citrus, berry, and dank grass in the mix. It really comes off as malt-heavy, when with the DDH and pine focus, you would expect (and I was hoping for) the opposite. Sharply bitter and dry aftertaste with a little green burn.
Would love to know what a fresh version tastes like to know if I’m missing something. Easy drinking if you’re in the mood for some bitter, piney hops, either way.

I admit it ... I'm not the most sophisticated on my brew knowledge.... To my untrained mouth I have no idea why this qualifies or should be called a "holiday" IPA outside of marketing... That said, it's a nice solid IPA

12oz can stamped 10/27/20 poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 8% ABV. The beer pours bright light honey amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to a fluffy cap and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is pine, caramel and a hint of citrus, in that order. The taste follows with semisweet caramel, pine, grapefruit and a hint of dankness before the moderate to heavy final bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good. Just an good, unapologetic west coast IPA.

Very golden in color. Hops burst out in nose and flavor. Great west coast style ipa. Looking for to it warming up to see how the flavors pop when it is closer to proper temperature.

I won a 6pck of this beer from the result of the OSU vs. UK Basketball game.....GO BUCKS! It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with ripe and slight bitter citrus through the drink. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

12 FL OZ can
Served in an IPA glass
This beer pours amber with golden highlights and a slight haze. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves some lacing.
I get citrus, especially grapefruit. I get some hints of biscuit.
The taste is bold and dank. The citrus smacks my tastebuds. The finish is full of grapefruit and pine.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
This is a real solid IPA from Braxton. I'm glad to see they continue to improve. It's refreshing to have an old school Mid-west IPA.

Beer lovers rejoice! After all, it is the most wonderful time for a beer, and Braxton Brewing steps to the occasion with a crisp, dry, throwback "holiday" IPA to prove that there is a hoppy beer for any time of the year.
Bubbly and brisk, the golden Jubilee pours with the lively zeal of champagne while building a withstanding ivory froth. As its piney aromas strike the nose first, a complementary scent of citrus peels, tropical fruit and a sharp herbal presence shares their earthy potpourri medley. A mild mannered malt sweetness comes with the lightness of cracker and the subtlety of honey and granola.
Trending dry and hoppy across the middle palate, its "west coast" attitude dissolves away much of the malt sweetness and welcomes the flavors of pink grapefruit, orange peel, dried pineapple and green mangos ahead of a sharp and sprucy bitterness of peppery hop resins, vegetal greens, stemmy sun tea and a dried leaf rusticity.
Medium light in body, the trail of spruce outlasts the fruit for a linger of all-things-Christmas tree with nuances of muddle pine needles, pine cone and a spicy sap-like aftertaste.
