Braxton Brewing Company

 

Braxton is located in a neat area of Covington, KY. Seemed like there were alot of locals coming in to have a beer. There was a decent sized bar just to the right.....and then a few table surrounding the bar. There was a massive couch in the middle which was kind of strange. The quality of their beer was above average. The dude behind the bar was a bit slovenly and looked bored to be there....but he took my order gave me beer....so not all bad. There was over 20 beers to choose from...but many were of the same style....so it could be limiting to some folk dependent on pallet.

 

 

 

Every beer is mediocre at best. Really unimpressed with this place. Probably won't be returning. Atmosphere is just meh and the staff was not very engaging, which isn't what you would expect from a brewery. Unimpressive.

We've been to many breweries and brewpubs over the past 3 decades, and are usually underwhelmed. I loved Braxton, though. I could have sat all day on those beautiful vintage leather couches and drank their beautiful, balanced beers. There is nothing worse than going to a "must hit" brewery and finding that all they have are 6 varieties of NEIPA. Braxton makes all kinds of styles and everything we tried on tap exceeded expectations. The BA stout was the best example from our trip through 7 states. The maibock was excellent, though a tad sweet as it warmed, the Berliner weisse exquisite. We went back the next day, it was so good. Cheers!

 

Been coming here since they opened and the quality of the beer and vibe of the establishment have definitely improved over time. Nice place, nice beer.

 

 

 

This is a tap room sort of made out to look like a garage. The beers are good, clean, and crisp. The service at the bar was excellent. I felt all the brews in a style were to style. They have a number of beers that are off the wall, but good as well. This is a dog friendly bar as well. Very dog friendly. They even had people playing frisbee with their dogs while I was there. Rumor has it that the police stop in every so often and give the place a ticket for having dogs on premise and the owners pay the fine. If true that is pretty cool of them. Most business would just fold like a cheap suit and kick out the dogs.

Well worth the visit. No food, but they have a lot of menus of places that deliver there so no need to starve :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Exceptionally courteous staff. Large tap room with 20 beers on tap. A few of the beers are offered nitro. They have a large room with a large screen, where you can challenge your friends in a game of Mario Kart.

 

Huge Taproom with a couple of the biggest leather sofas I have ever seen. Exceptionally friendly staff and some good beers. Only 7 on tap right now, but more coming. Plus they are adding bottling and canning operations.
