went here twice while on vacation a little over a week ago. the vibe is mellow. people just enjoying sh%t. you see families and also locals just having a good time. the taps are always pretty solid. between theirs and quest taps there's something for everyone. service has been good. one time we went (a year or two ago) the server was a "B" but after this vacation I can't hold it to them on one bad time. food menu is somewhat limited but really tasty. the first time we went I got the buffalo chicken sandwich (which was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had) and the misses got the nachos which weren't too shabby. second time we went I got the same chicken sandwich but it didn't have enough buffalo sauce to counter act all the blue cheese. still really good tho. the misses got a burger which was good. if you're traveling to traverse city I would HIGHLY recommend stopping at this place. prices are super solid. 7 monks could have the same thing on tap and charge more.

FYI- first time we went there (years ago) with the b#tchy server we ordered churro's which came completely raw in the center. like dripping batter. the women said that's how they're suppose to be but we said no and sent them back. like I said one bad time but much better this time around. like night and day.

The location is warm and inviting , with comfortable seating and a fireplace. It also offers many taps from Michigan and around the country. But this location truly excels at the beer it makes; delicious, smooth and flavorful across many beer types. Just wish I could get their beer at other locations or by growler, as I live more than 3 hours away, But definitely worth a day trip.

Did not sample the food, but would expect it is equally great.

Decent enough place to stop, but the food was the highlight of the visit. Definitely geared towards adults (there's nothing on the menu that most of your kids would eat), the fare was prepared quickly and is high quality. My wife had the Cobb salad, I had the Bahn Mi and we split a small order of garlic frittes. All were excellent. Tap list featured seven of Rare Bird's offerings, and at least twice as many taps from other brewers, but nothing beyond what you could get elsewhere.
Building is handsome and inviting, long and narrow, with a small stage at one end, a twenty seater bar, some booths alonf the walls and communal tables down the middle. Luckily we were our before the band scheduled to play started, I can't see being able to hear much once the music starts.
All in all an okay visit. Good location, great food, and so-so beer.

Beautiful interior with a typical trendy industrial vibe. The pork belly nachos were outstanding. Tried a few beer samples before settling on Sailing Through the Haze. If it weren't for the bartender, this place would get full marks. Instead, he ignored my husband and I since we weren't "regulars" (whom he greeted with handshakes and bro hugs) and then proceeded to complain to about his life, his jobs and how hard he works. In his words, "I love bar-tending because I just don't have to give a shit." ...Yeah.

Great rough hewn reproved wood decor. 6 good in-house brews. A couple dozen other breweries on tap. Good food, interesting and unique menu items.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the are not afraid to recommend other local breweries they have on tap.
I had many talks with each visit. Good beers, good patrons. I did eat their food and found it tasty and progressive. Due to location parking can be a little tough.

Very cool little place with ample seating and a relaxed vibe. Could have used a few more house taps but they also had a few nice guest taps. Food looked and smelled nice from a fairly good menu but I didn't actually have anything to eat. Service was helpful and attentive.
