A 750ml corked and caged bottle, bottled on 15th October 2015. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass.

Appearance: A hazy grapefruit pinkish orange colour with a thin white head that dissipated fairly quickly to a ring around the glass, and left only sparse lacing.

Aroma: Sweet and tart cherry, lightly candied, oak, light funk, with a touch of citrusy lemon zest.

Taste: Sour, tart, cherry, lemon, oak, with light funk notes.

Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Enjoyable cherry and citrus balance that isn’t overwhelmingly fruity, but just enough to complement the base Saison.

Hazy salmon with a fuzzy white film.

Smell starts with funky cheese and wood spiked with spiced cherry and pie crust.

Really tasty cherry, peach, and lemon hits the tongue, bringing lactic acid while pie crust funk rounds out the flavor profile that has a tart, sharp edge and dry finish. It's almost too acidic, but quite enjoyable.

750 cage & cork bottle poured into a snifter
Bottled3/16/16

A- pours a crystal clear bright golden color with a soft pink hue, one finger foamy white head reduces to a ring around the glass

S- lactic funky aroma with notes of yogurt, dried hay, barnyard and earthy yeast. Undertones of wet oak and tart cherry

T- big punch of mouth watering tartness up front, with notes of lemon peel, some yogurt-like lactic notes & undertones of wet oak. Mid-palate gives some light notes of tart cherry. The finish is bone dry, with more puckering tartness and flavors of lemon, cherry and oak

M- medium body with light carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a dry-puckering finish

O- plenty of tartness throughout, at times found it a bit hard to find the cherry notes. Good thing I'm sharing this one!
