Pours a clouded sun yellow color with a solid, stable white head.

Smells of utmost funky wheat, including leather, basement and morass. The beer‘s honey addition takes the aromas a step further, lending a nice complexity to the prominent, rustic wheat presence.

Has a well nuanced, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, which comes along with a decent sourness, making this a very refreshing beer.

Tastes of an intriguing blend of lime zest, bread dough and wet wheat, tied together by a well rounded, thoughtfully put together funkiness, consisting of wet mushrooms and a note of blue cheese. Turns very smooth then, bringing more dough to the palate, which emphasizes the beer’s rustic grain backbone very well. Finishes funky, soft, with an utmost pleasant, light mouthfeel highlighting the natural appearance of the honey.

This is a tremendously well made saison, which makes great use of its honey addition. Its complexity is beyond what I expected from this, but its funky, old world hearthy, sweet peak blend makes this outstandingly good.

Pours a slightly hazy deep gold/pale amber coloration with a medium, bubbly head. Smell is dominated by honey and citrus zest, with a light funkiness and a hint of hay and yeast esters. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt, slightly grassy, zesty citrus hops and light yeast esters of green apple and clove, with a medium citric acid sourness and light barnyard funk. There's also a mild honey sweetness to this that works well to balance out the tartness, as well as additional, lighter notes of peach, white grape and oak. Finishes quite dry, with some funk and a hint of oak lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth, effervescent mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation. This just has an absolutely fantastic balance to it, with an outstanding, subtle complexity. All the different elements here have enough character to stand on their own, but still intermingle very harmoniously without anything drowning out the rest. Very impressive Saison, quite possibly the best I've had.

One of the less expensive bottle of Casey and yet one of the best!
Veiled orange body with a white head, leaving lacing, foam sticking to the glass.
Shy nose with lots of oak, funk, honey.
Taste is what wins in this beer, light-medium tartness, lots of oak, tannins astringency, very light sweetness, almost dry.
Long aftertaste!

12/9/16 This is pretty good, but much less tasty than the saison. This is less tart and has a huge funky nose that is somewhat unpleasant to my taste buds. Overall this is nice but falls short of casey greatness
