Loved this grape sour... similar to a Riesling wine in sweetness, but adds some funky and tart notes. Really delicious and gets easier to drink as it warms.

750ml bottle, cork and caged. 12/2/2015. Served in a Casey stemmed glass. Pours a clear golden and white yellow body, one finger white head, short retention, not much lacing. To be honest, looks an awful lot like a white wine would. Smells of rich white vinous character, touch of oak, mineral, light sulfur, lemon, moderate lactic tartness, touch of grain. Exactly what I expected it to smell like, and it smells delicious. Flavour is pretty similar; a heavy white wine grape character, must, lemon, light leather, minerals, touch of sulfur, moderate lactic acidity. As far as tartness goes, it is a bit above average for Casey. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, lighter carbonation, although the lactic acidity helps add dryness it does lack a little bit of carbonation. Overall, another tasty saison from Casey. If you're a fan of his fruited beers, this won't be anything unexpected for you.

Pale yellow color. Little white head.

Love the white grape flavor. Very sour. Very tart. Acidic and light vinegar flavors. Earthy.

Light bodied. Sweet tart feel to it.

Really nice sour.

A: Looks like white grape juice. Never seen a beer so pale yellow before, what head it did have faded quickly. S: Straight funk and some white wine. Some oak is present with some tart there as well. T: This beer is tart upfront but doesn't finish all that sour. Nice grape presence and nice oak barrel as well. Finished nice and dry. M: I was expecting a stingy carbonated beer and it's not. It's soft and palatable. O: This beer is my first Casey. It was amazing, so different than Side Project or Hill or SARA, it's great. Wish I had more
