This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like light pepper spice, fudgy and creamy milk chocolate, and light coffee.
This is about a year and a half old, so the coffee is a tad faded- I wish it was much stronger here. It's still quite chocolatey, with a decent spiciness. It more just feels like a nice chocolate stout at this point.
This is medium bodied, and very creamy, with no hint of the ABV, and a lower level of carbonation.
This was probably much better fresh, but it's still a worthwhile beer to try.

Pours a thick black with minimal tan head.
Smells of dark roast coffee, chocolate, and barrel.
Taste follows with chocolate and coffee, good barrel presence. Very well balanced.
Full bodied, this one has some legs. Smooth and hides the high ABV quite well.
Overall an excellent BA RIS! I had never heard of these guys but this was one hell of a beer!

A big RIS made with Mexican chocolate and Dark Matter coffee, aged in Four Roses barrels. It pours thick and syrupy, with massive legs when swirled, minimal head, and a touch of graininess deposited on the glass once it warms (likely the chocolate). Smells lovely when chilled, a very nice balance between stout, booze, coffee, and chocolate, in that order. After it warms closer to room temperature, the booze and unknown ABV (vintages appear to have ranged from 13.5 to 17.5%, according to the intertrons) come well to the forefront, with some punchier ethyl notes. Very smooth on the tongue, bringing in a touch of chocolate and banana pudding. Really enjoyable.
