Terrific restoration of a heritage building resulting in a spacious, relaxed, open concept tasting room that flows into the brewery. Wide selection or core beers, seasonals and casks on offer in flights and pints along with a bar menu.

Busy spot on sunny Saturday afternoon. Great old Industrial building high ceilings old timber structure with brewery partly visible from 60 seat tasting area . Bar seating up at self-serve order area some food available. The rest of the seating are mostly high long tables. This place almost feels like a brew-pub more then any of the new tasting rooms that have opened in the Vancouver area. Doesn't feel as cramped and you might stick around a bit longer before getting your growler filled.
They had 4 regular beers and 4 cask beers served from beer engines. I tried several of their beers but I liked the ISA and their brown stout ,which seemed like a porter, the best.
I see room for improvement but I was impressed on my first visit.

A: simple, bright, open, mix of high-tops, tables, and bar seating; customers are 28-45yo hip urbanites (ex-hipsters?). Not too loud.
Q: cask beers are excellent; others are good. Experimental cask beers should definitely be tried. Taste is very well balanced and alcohol kept in check.
S: good if sitting at the bar. No table service. Single order spot at the counter can get backed up.
S: varies with supply. Nice to see as many as 4 cask beers + up to 4 (?) regular offerings.
F: didn't try. Very limited offering.
After being open just a few months, Main Street Brewing is getting better and better.
