This Imperial Coffee Oat Milk Stout is dang huge in name, taste, as well as ingredients. There's five different roasts of malt in here along with a smattering of roasted barley, a goodly bunch of oats, a pinch of lactose sugar for a rich and creamy mouth feel, and big ole heaping brew of Dominican and Sumatran coffee from our java pals over at One World Roasters. Imagine a fudgey chocolate brownie dipped in a smooth, locally roasted cup of joe.

12oz. Can into a Side Project snifter.
Heavy pours yields a 2 finger rich chocolate colored head with excellent retention. Beer is pitch black. Patchy, thick lace. Nose is iced coffee. Pungent, aromatic. Beer opens iced coffee, mocha, espresso. A touch of milk sugar in the middle smoothes things out. More iced coffee with a hint of roasted malt at the end. Body is medium with low carbonation. Smooth and rich on the palate and goes down soft with a long, lingering aftertaste.
When I crave a coffee beer, this is the exact flavor profile and palate I'm looking for. Super underrated.

Fantastic imperial coffee oat milk stout (lol). Basically a coffee milkshake of a stout. Very dark brown with viscous light brown foam. Rich flavors of roasted coffee, fudge, and walnut. Medium-full bodied with moderate sweetness and a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. Remarkably fresh and drinkable for an imperial stout.

Got in a small growler this past weekend at the brewery. One of the few NEBCO beers I feel like I haven’t had. Wasn’t expecting much but boy this is good! Worth the wait!
