Notes: This Imperial Coffee Oat Milk Stout is dang huge in name, taste, as well as ingredients. There's five different roasts of malt in here along with a smattering of roasted barley, a goodly bunch of oats, a pinch of lactose sugar for a rich and creamy mouth feel, and big ole heaping brew of Dominican and Sumatran coffee from our java pals over at One World Roasters. Imagine a fudgey chocolate brownie dipped in a smooth, locally roasted cup of joe.

Fantastic imperial coffee oat milk stout (lol). Basically a coffee milkshake of a stout. Very dark brown with viscous light brown foam. Rich flavors of roasted coffee, fudge, and walnut. Medium-full bodied with moderate sweetness and a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. Remarkably fresh and drinkable for an imperial stout.

Got in a small growler this past weekend at the brewery. One of the few NEBCO beers I feel like I haven’t had. Wasn’t expecting much but boy this is good! Worth the wait!

On tap at Prime 16. Pours a dark brownish black color with a thin layer of head. Minimal lacing. Sweet coffee and roasty aroma with some milk chocolate. The taste is light and sweet coffee as well as milk chocolate and roasted malts. Sweeter than expected but still has a good amount of coffee flavor. Medium bodied with mild alcohol heat. Overall, decent balance of sweetness and coffee I'd buy once in a while.

What an incredible Coffee Milk Stout. Relies very heavily on coffee flavors, more so than most of its contemporaries, so truly a stout for coffee lovers. Perfect marriage between a stout and coffee to the extent that it feels like a perfect cup of cold brew coffee.

High ABV for a coffee stout, but I enjoyed the burn from that. Simply a matter of preference. New england is planning on brewing another coffee stout soon as of this review, so very excited to see what it is and the direction they take with it.

Growler poured into fluted snifter.

Smells and looks like cold brew coffee. Deep, dark, near opaque brown with a thin creamy tan head.

Smell is deep, dark roast coffee.

Flavor is dark roast coffee, smooth, rich, tiny hint of bittersweet chocolate.

Creamy and full bodied, moderate carbonation.

Smooth and rich coffee stout. I could mistake this for high quality cold brewed coffee, or vice-versa.

Sampling a cellar to room temp growler of this beer poured into a snifter. The beer pours a very dark cola to oil black. A fluffy densely packed tan head of 3 cm foams up, even with a gentle pour from the growler. the head does recede to a thin edge layer. The aroma is roasted malt and a good dose of coffee grounds. I also get a bit of brown sugar and molasses without any real hop presence. This is a big malty nose with some coffee notes.
The first sip reveals an average body with a silky smooth texture and soft rolling carbonation. Nice easy drinking physical traits on this beer. There is a slightly syrupy coating after each swallow that lingers long after each swallow. Flavor is what the nose advertises with lots of roasted notes and some coffee ground, but more sweet coffee here and a bit of chocolate and brown sugar. I dont get the booze anywhere and it does sneak up on me as I move through the growler. This is a great malty coffee stout and is nice for a boozy nightcap. Im glad to have attacked this growler and would recommend to any maltys out there when they stop at NEBCO for beers.

Obviously a coffee beer from the name it starts with ground coffee bean, roasted coffee and iced coffee flavor. At mid palate and in towards the finish I get chocolate pecan and mint. It is a touch thin, like coffee.

Pour is pitch black with a large dark caramel head. Leaves a ton of lacing. The head is clingy like an annoying girlfriend.

Aroma brings lots of milk chocolate and roasted coffee. I get a touch of brown sugar as well.

The taste follows the nose with plenty of chocolate and coffee. I get a bit of alcohol burn on the end of each sip.

The feel is full bodied with very light carbonation. Very creamy, yet quite a lot of bitterness on the aftertaste.

Overall, a very good stout. Not a lot going on with it but it's very good and extremely drinkable despite the high ABV.

Appears jet black with moderately tall spicy cinnamon colored head. Swirl of cream in the middle. It would pass for coffee.

Rich, earthy spiced coffee poured over crushed ice swirled with a stick of cinnamon and a drizzle of dark chocolate syrup.

Full body, slight creaminess, sweet syrupy and moderate carbonation.

Robust coffee flavor tempered by lactose sweetness. Slight citric acidity. Dark chocolate and earthy spice notes. Delivers on its promise; my breath indeed is emboldened and awakened by the aroma of coffee.

pretty much fizzy black iced coffee, such an awesome stout. look is coffee, smell is coffee and chocolate, taste is coffee and chocolate, and feel is nice and supportive of the thick mouthfeel. don't like stouts too often but love this one! may replace my morning coffee one day this week.

On tap. Man, this is a great beer!
Dark brown/black with dark tan head that lingers, no lace. Smells like roasted coffee, slight hint of earthy hops and it is full and interesting, not just one-sided. Taste is strong, bitter roast and coffee, but balanced with a really thick sweet feel. Not too creamy or milky but it is thick with a nice dark bitterness. Leaves a coating feel that fades slowly and leaves you wanting another sip. Fantastic!
