Notes:
This Imperial Coffee Oat Milk Stout is dang huge in name, taste, as well as ingredients. There's five different roasts of malt in here along with a smattering of roasted barley, a goodly bunch of oats, a pinch of lactose sugar for a rich and creamy mouth feel, and big ole heaping brew of Dominican and Sumatran coffee from our java pals over at One World Roasters. Imagine a fudgey chocolate brownie dipped in a smooth, locally roasted cup of joe.

Sampling a cellar to room temp growler of this beer poured into a snifter. The beer pours a very dark cola to oil black. A fluffy densely packed tan head of 3 cm foams up, even with a gentle pour from the growler. the head does recede to a thin edge layer. The aroma is roasted malt and a good dose of coffee grounds. I also get a bit of brown sugar and molasses without any real hop presence. This is a big malty nose with some coffee notes.
The first sip reveals an average body with a silky smooth texture and soft rolling carbonation. Nice easy drinking physical traits on this beer. There is a slightly syrupy coating after each swallow that lingers long after each swallow. Flavor is what the nose advertises with lots of roasted notes and some coffee ground, but more sweet coffee here and a bit of chocolate and brown sugar. I dont get the booze anywhere and it does sneak up on me as I move through the growler. This is a great malty coffee stout and is nice for a boozy nightcap. Im glad to have attacked this growler and would recommend to any maltys out there when they stop at NEBCO for beers.

Appears jet black with moderately tall spicy cinnamon colored head. Swirl of cream in the middle. It would pass for coffee.
Rich, earthy spiced coffee poured over crushed ice swirled with a stick of cinnamon and a drizzle of dark chocolate syrup.
Full body, slight creaminess, sweet syrupy and moderate carbonation.
Robust coffee flavor tempered by lactose sweetness. Slight citric acidity. Dark chocolate and earthy spice notes. Delivers on its promise; my breath indeed is emboldened and awakened by the aroma of coffee.

On tap. Man, this is a great beer!
Dark brown/black with dark tan head that lingers, no lace. Smells like roasted coffee, slight hint of earthy hops and it is full and interesting, not just one-sided. Taste is strong, bitter roast and coffee, but balanced with a really thick sweet feel. Not too creamy or milky but it is thick with a nice dark bitterness. Leaves a coating feel that fades slowly and leaves you wanting another sip. Fantastic!
