On tap at the brewery. This is old school ipa. Prominent dryness and bitterness that linger in a cotton mouthy, parched sensation. Flavor of grains, slight skunk, grass notes but this beer has a heavy grain vibe despite its quaffable lightness. Strong mineral water taste... reminds me of certain english ales or something like old burnsides ten penny ale. Almost some pilsner-y crispness to this. Reminds me of hop hunter by sierra nevada, light bodied, not big punchy hops or big fat malt body... but rather a tea-like presence of hops over a very fresh grain subtle malt experience. Very different from a lot of what is being made right now. Excellent.

Golden orange in color. Clear in appearance. Pineapple, orange and tangerine. Clean malt background. Light bodied and crisp. Nice level of bitterness. Think G-bot light. Really solid.

Bright gold in color, no haze or cloudiness, decent one finger white head.

Good hoppy aroma, vegetal and bitter like G-Bot. Nice sweetness up front, some citrus notes and good herbal like qualities. Bitterness is there in the end but not so much, some resinous flavors. Body is super light and very crushable.

Nice beer from NEBCO, maybe a bit too light so I'll stick to the G-Bot but I think this will be nice in the summer.

32oz growler from the brewery. Pours a clear light brownish orange with over an inch of frothy white head. Moderate amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet citrus and floral/piney hops. The taste is more of the floral and piney hops with some citrus in the background. Bitter. Grapefruit towards the end with more pine. Very drinkable and dry with a light body. I'm pretty surprised by the low ABV. Definitely Gandhi-Bot-esk. Worth seeking out.

Very drinkable beer. Hoppy and bright, not overly powerful (as expected from a session). Golden colour, hazy too. I thought it was a nice session IPA and I would drink again.

Tried this beer new from a bar tap. It smells a lot like G-Bot but much milder. I could easily drink many without feeling full or tipsy. Color looks similar to a lager but a bit hazy. Not too dark and definitely not a G-Bot light beer which I thought it was. Taste much better cold. At room temperature it feels and taste metallic meaning there is chalky feel in the mouth and a strange aftertaste. It's not a bad beer and I think New England Brewing Company knows how to please beer drinkers. I would try this beer again and I would recommend this beer to IPA lovers.

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.

Pours a lightly hazy golden color with a 2-finger fluffy head. The head dissipates quickly and leaves some nice lacing along the way.

The aroma is very similar to G-Bot, though slightly more floral. Lots of citrus backed by the sweet malt character and subtle, resinous pine.

The flavor is on point with Big Boy Bot. Orange, grapefruit, tons of resinous pine, all held up by the malt backbone. Not quite as bitter, not as much booze, but just as much deliciousness.

Feel is relatively light bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes very smooth with low dryness and bitterness.

Overall, this beer is exactly as advertised. It's G-Bot with less alcohol. Some more refined palates will certainly find plenty of differences but to me it's the exact same beer, and that's fine by me.

literally a session version of G-Bot. they got it perfectly: same exact complex DIPA hop profile as G-Bot, just less boozy, less sweet, and thinner feel. great unimperialization!!

appearance- Gold amber in color, a little cloudy, and pours a soapy two inch head.

aroma- Floral, citrus, grapefruit, and juicy oranges.

taste- Starts off with juicy citrus and oranges, followed by a little bitterness mid way through, and finishes with a floral/grapefruit combo and a dry bready malt.

feel- Light/medium bodied and medium carbonation. A little resinous slickness that lingers a little, but overall the finish is pretty clean.

overall- Definitely reminiscent of G-Bot with the big orange, citrus, and floral hops. Doesn't have quite the same punch (as expected), but at 5.2% this drinks like its 6-7%. Would definitely like to see more of this produced.
