The best local ipa in Connecticut. Damn near perfect. Great taste, great hop finish on the palette. Two thumbs up!

Picked up a six pack dated December 2 because come on, how do I turn down Hag made less than two weeks prior.

Pours an attractively hazy orange color, darker than average for a standard IPA. Lacing is somewhat less than I would have expected given the mid range ABV. Wonderful orange citrus and grapefruit aromas hit you immediately. Flavors follow suit, lovely citrus pith bitterness balances the dry crackery malts. There is a pine resin quality on the finish as well, but it is done with enough restraint to not be overbearing.

Mouthfeel is great, nicely balanced dryness, malts are much more present on the back end. Just the right amount of cling on the tongue and palate. This is a well made beer. Again as in the color, slightly more substantial in body than a lot of standard issue IPAs.

A very good reference east coast IPA. Drink this beer fresh at all costs, like most other hop forward beers it does not like sitting on a store shelf for weeks and weeks, unloved and overlooked. Shame on the package stores that allow this to happen.
