Looks - A deep deep black pour with thick light brown head

Smells - Rich malts, wicked dark chocolate and some coffee on back end

Taste - Coffee hits me first and then chocolate takes over, finishes a nice sweet malty flavor

Feel - A light to medium thickness

A fabulous brew, definitely enjoyable. If Guinness is the only stout you've tasted then count this as your top 5 to try out.

Appearance - dark brown almost black body with dark tan head

Smell - dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee grounds

Taste - flavors aren't quite as intense as the aroma : dark chocolate, roasted malts, fudge some coffee, some molasses

Mouthfeel - roasted flavors from the chocolate and malts dominate out front, back end has notes of coffee and fudge, medium bodied, medium carbonation, the body comes in a tad thin for the style

Overall - good RIS that falls somewhere in the middle of the category in terms of quality. Worth a try

Price point - $3.99/12 oz can

L - pours a dark, chocolately black. Not pitch black, but looked like motor oil coming out of the can. Beautiful liquidy smooth dark brown head. Unusually dark. Incredibly appealing. The head consists of loads of tiny bubbles, all working together to create a strong film that holds strong to maintain shape as the glass is tipped or jostled. The bubbles seems very sticky. Good lacing.

S - immediate coffee roast up front. A good dose of hops give it a fresh and potent aroma. This is gonna be a bitter stout.

T - dark chocolate up front, creamy coffee and milk chocolate in the middle as things start to settle. Dark fruits. Bright, floral hops all the way through. NEBCO has that hop profile down pat. Unique and fresh.

F - low to medium carb and not terribly thick, but somehow manages to feel dense and packs in a shitton of flavor into every sip. Neat mouthfeel. Another unusual characteristic that sets it apart from other stouts. Creamy and one of the best features of this beer.

O - first time I've been able to sit down and truly enjoy this beer! Thank you NEBCO for canning it! Very impressive offering. Maybe I'll get around to cracking open that barrel aged version from last year!

got cans dated 1/6/16. pours a very daaaaaark black, no light goes through this beer whatsoever. big dark brown foamy head that dissipates rather quickly into a thin one. smell is not intense at all: light coffee, light chocolate, and a very slight bitter piney hop flavor. taste is best described as taking black iced coffee and straining out the ice, and maybe adding the slightest little back end note of pine. i could drink this beer every morning before work instead of my coffee and not feel like I'm missing out on anything! mouthfeel was good, though I think this beer would be much better on Nitro. im not usually a stout guy, but this one may have just swayed me to start trying them from other places again.
