So I scored this higher on looks alone, and gave it bonus creds for having come out of a can. I'm late to the "tastes great out of a can" craze. Still an old dog can learn. This is my favorite beer out of NEBCO, probably because I'm not a big fan of the super hoppy monsters like Gandhi-Bot, though I can appreciate their rugged beauty. 668 is all floral elegance laced with citrus--almost an orange blossom or neroli aroma. The head bears up well under pressure (withstood several botched FB pic attempts). And the little guy on the can is so goshdarn cute, I'd sell him my soul any day.

Beautiful white fluffy head sitting on top of a golden orange unfiltered body. The aroma is of a belgian farm house. Not the beer an actual barn in the wallonian countryside. Hay, wheat and slight sour notes on the nose. The taste follows the same yeast and a dry finish. Very good beer this. Would love to drink some of these all year.

1 pint can poured into my Duvel Tulip

Appearance was that of a deep golden/light orange mix. Pour produced a one and a half inch white fizzy head. Average head retention with noticeable amounts of lacing left sticking to the sides of my glass.

Citrus aroma of lemon and orange coriander. Detectable noble hops that add a floral and slight herbal aroma. Pale malt with straw hay and yeast.

Taste upfront is slightly bitter with a lemon and orange citrus flavor. Spices come rushing in during the middle with cloves and pepper. Finishes off with a barley and yeast flavor.

Mouthfeel is full bodied with high carbonation. Peppery spicy aftertaste.

Pretty good beer that I would recommend for others to try.

no evident date

A: The head is surprisingly short-lived, and lacing is minimal.

S: Powerful phenols. Lots of clove spiciness and banana and a touch of black pepper. That's about all I get on the nose, but what there is is pretty strong.

T: More yeast by products. Cloves and sweet banana bread. Hop bitterness and white pepper come through on the finish. A white sugar sweetness comes through as the glass empties.

M: Fairly full, with surprisingly light carbonation.

O: This is a tasty beer, but it gets sort of heavy and cloying after a while. I don't find myself wanting a second. That said, it's remarkably drinkable for the abv.

Nothing like craft beer in a tallboy can. Love it.

A - Golden yellow/amber with a thick fluffy white head. Cloudy & hazy with great lacing.

S - Clove, bananas, Belgian yeast, and other estery aromas one would expect with this style. Absolutely no alcohol in the aroma. Hints of Belgian hops, but any hop aroma takes a backseat to the Belgian strong ale aromas.

T - Follows the nose as expected. Very matly & spicy. Delicious!

M - Bubbly, creamy, and medium bodied. Sticky and sweet in the finish. Slight alcoholic warming.

D - I just can't seem to put this one down. I'm just happy it comes in a 4-pack.

On tap at ELi's with Haogie and The Larse. Had this one while a girl wearing a BEBE shirt blew my mind. Strong yeasty boozy taste and flavor that mellows towards the finish. Not the most balanced but a pretty easy drinking belgian strong ale for 9 percent. My thought on this beer are clouded by the images of a goddess.

True to what the style is, yet lacking any huge oommpphh that NEBCO is known for. Good, but not seekable.
