Serving Type: Can, poured into a tulip. Great can artwork.

A: Hazy and golden yellow body with a persisting beige head (approx. 1/4"). Amazing lacing.

S: Citrus and wheat aroma with a great balance between sweet and grainy.

T: Just like the smell, the taste is a wonderful experience. Hints of lemon, tangerine, coriander, and hints of grain are followed by a sweet finish with a hint of bitterness (presumably from the relatively high ABV).

M: Slightly lighter than "medium body", but it doesn't take away from the greatness of this beer whatsoever. A tingly finish which matches the flavor profile.

O: Very strong and tasty beer. Dangerously drinkable but boy is it enjoyable! I would highly recommend this beer to anyone interested in Belgian-style beers. I wouldn't necessarily say this is a great starter for those first exploring the style, it's also very enjoyable on its own merits.

Poured from the 12 oz. can into a stemmed tulip.

a: nearly clear dark gold with a huge white head which required additional pours to fill the glass. Head receded to heavy surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Mild ripe fruit

t; Ripe fruit from the Belgian yeast up front followed by some bitterness penetrating the sides of the tongue. The high ABV is well masked, with little throat burn.

m: Moderate with good body,

o; No shortage of taste in this brew, the Belgian yeasty ripe fruit flavor is pretty strong, making it an agressive representative of the style.

American made Belgian beers are usually hit or miss for me, but this is definitely a hit and I would expect nothing less from NEBCO at this point. First, this pours a hazy orange/yellow color with a two finger white head. The aroma is sweet with some citrus and the funky belgian yeast clearly apparent. The taste definitely has that distinctive belgian yeast flavor, but its not overdone at all, which I feel is the problem with American Belgians (too much spice/clove/etc). This beer definitely got a good addition of hops with juicy grapefruit coming through, but it stops just short of any bitterness and instead mellows out into a smooth, almost creamy feel.. Overall I wasn't sure what to expect from this beer and its a good thing I didn't try to guess. Its a one of a kind beer, and its definitely worth buying again. (90/100)

Into a tulip from a can.

L - Lovely cloudy light amber yellow with an initial 2 finger head that dissipates to 1 and hangs around quite nicely and finally dissipates into a foam with great lacing.

S - Nice bready and banana yeasty belgian beer smell. Moderate sweetness.

T - Taste follows the nose. A mild sweet banana bread taste. Really like it. Reminds me of Deschutes Conflux No. 2 which is a good thing. I really enjoy Belgian PA/IPAs that taste like this.

M - Little bit of a light thin mouthfeel, but it kind of goes with the style. Nice tingly finish.

O - Very good light belgian style ale. If I lived in Connecticut I'd drink it quite a bit.
