Thanks to Martin for hooking me up with this one. Poured from a 32 oz growler into a Kuhnhenn snifter.

A-Cloudy golden orange with small head and minimal lacing.

S-Pineapple, orange, and pine hops.

T- A subtle sweet malt flavor with notes of ripe pineapple and dank pine. Catching a little funky flavor towards the end.

M-Smooth with moderate levels of carbonation.

O-Excellent sessionable pale ale with a lot of flavor and great balance.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange color with a pure white head. Not a lot of retention or lacing.

The aroma is a nice balance of sweet and bitter, with the piney notes coming forward at first, followed by some nice tropical fruit aromas. Lots of citrus here as well. On the back end there's some floral notes I can't quite put my finger on, but they are very pleasant. Very surprised at how much aroma is packed into this beer.

The flavor is incredibly well-balanced. I get lots of citrus notes up front; orange, pineapple, and grapefruit. Then come the grassy notes to add some bitterness. The taste ends with more citrus and just the slightest hint of bready malt.

The feel is medium-light bodied with relatively low carbonation. Very crisp and a bit dry.

Overall, a fantastic pale ale that caught me by surprise. When I sampled it at the brewery I was nearly blown away and I just had to get a growler. It's such a well-balanced beer that hits all the right notes that I want in a pale ale. The malt character could be a bit more prominent but everything else is extremely well done. Could drink this all day.

Had at the brewery on 8/6/15, also picked up a 64oz growler of it since I was so impressed. Pours a little darker than expected, a cloudy gold with hints of amber. Smell is potent, a dense hop forest with ripe oranges ready for picking. The taste just blows me away. So far it's the best pale ale I've had. Really strong, bitter hops with tons of juice. Strong citrus such as blood orange poke out. Malt sweetness in the middle can never really get ahead of the hops. Some piney and mint notes in the back. Feels a little heavy and sticky for 4.8%, but all in all just an awesome beer.

32oz. growler into a Pizza Boy pint glass.

Pours a 1 finger coarse white head with low retention. Beer is a semi-clear pale orange. Lacing is layered and thick with good stick. A good looking beer considering the container format.

Nose is citrus, pine, cane sugar and a grapefruit hop bitterness. A touch of soapiness too. Moderately aromatic.

Opens papaya, citrus and grapefruit. Some pine hop bitterness with a light malt backbone for balance. End is hoppy and citrussy with a bitter finish and a lingering, sticky hop aftertaste. Pretty much what I want from the style.

Light bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Slick and quenching in the mouth and goes down smooth with some light bubbles. Clean finish with a slightly filmy aftertaste. Appropriate for the style.

NEBCO is slowly starting to be recognized for the pale ales and this one doesn't disappoint. Nothing really stands out here but that's a good thing. Very drinkable with a nicely balanced flavor profile and appetizing nose. Worth trying.

32 oz. growler poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy deep orange. Small white head and a thin collar.

Smell - Bright juicy orange, then musty and dank grassy hops behind it. Barely any malt.

Taste - It's all orange hops. Very nice. Cracker malt. Light grassiness and bitterness in the back end.

Mouthfeel - Light body. Medium low carbonation.

Overall - Low carbonation is probably a function of the growler, but even without it, it's drinkable and delicious.
