Had at the brewery on 8/6/15, also picked up a 64oz growler of it since I was so impressed. Pours a little darker than expected, a cloudy gold with hints of amber. Smell is potent, a dense hop forest with ripe oranges ready for picking. The taste just blows me away. So far it's the best pale ale I've had. Really strong, bitter hops with tons of juice. Strong citrus such as blood orange poke out. Malt sweetness in the middle can never really get ahead of the hops. Some piney and mint notes in the back. Feels a little heavy and sticky for 4.8%, but all in all just an awesome beer.

Poured from a growler, not many hours after taken from NEBCO into a NEBCO tulip glass.

Foamy solid white, with some tinged brown edges for the head, about two fingers, making a good bowled puck as it settles. Body color is a real simple peach orange and solid orb glowing throughout. Solid looking brew, with minimal carbonation.

The nose is quite solid as well. A real airy biscuit dry malt which really brings out some nice tropical notes of the hops nicely. Cookie and earth like thick melon aromas, with sharp cinnamon almost clove like qualities matching. Some herbal tea gets in there as well, and a touch of dare I say bile.

Palate is quite impressive. VEry light but also in the pale realm, with biscuit sharp tones of powdered toast and a real sneaky hop character. A pine and earth bent with tropics in the mid palate, then with an aftertaste that really goes to grapefruit and a big huge sneaking growing mint and almost pepper like finish. A real sneaky one too, which is quite interesting and fascinating.

Real neat take on a pale ale, very nice job with this one.

32 oz. growler poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy deep orange. Small white head and a thin collar.

Smell - Bright juicy orange, then musty and dank grassy hops behind it. Barely any malt.

Taste - It's all orange hops. Very nice. Cracker malt. Light grassiness and bitterness in the back end.

Mouthfeel - Light body. Medium low carbonation.

Overall - Low carbonation is probably a function of the growler, but even without it, it's drinkable and delicious.

Pours a beautiful clear golden color with a white head that trails the glass as you drink. The smell was full of light citrus and floral notes from the hops, very crisp scent. The taste was a wonderful melding of different kinds of hops giving a bright and flavorful beginning and a complex middle and crisp finish. A wonderful interpretation of the style.
