12 oz. can served in a Pipeworks Berliner Weisse glass. Thanks to bentenison for the can.

A: Pours a golden straw color with a one finger height of white form forming on the pour. It recedes quickly to a thin film and collar. Soapy lace left down the glass.

S: Lightly soured with a slight grass note. Cracked wheat

T: Grassy with some light lemon notes. Sweet wheat notes with a little doughy bread. Dry, musty finish.

M: Light bodied with a medium high carbonation level. Slightly prickly across the tongue with a dry mouthfeel.

O: Pretty nice overall. A little doughy for my liking, but pretty nice overall. Put this right around Weisse Weisse Baby for American berliners.

Thanks to Ultra-Plinian for shipping me some of these bad boys. Love the name, love the label, and have been pretty impressed with this brewery's offerings thus far. Coming from the can, Weiss Trash is a turbid and murky straw-pear hybrid, fairly translucent, but still pretty cloudy. The bone white "head" fizzles away in mere seconds, never to be seen again.

The aroma is full of heavily tart green apples, astringent pear skins, and moderate amounts of white grapes. Light, fruity, and backed by a very faint and soft blanket of wheat. It smells mildly acidic, in seemingly good moderation (at least as far as my nose can tell). Some dirty, grassy notes infiltrate the back end, balancing out some of the fruity tartness.

Sip after sip after sip, the flavor follows the entire aroma schematic pretty much exactly. Sourness up front - not too heavy, not too soft - in the form of more green apples, lemon zest, white grapes, gushing fruity flesh. Grains and wheat strewn about, providing a faint hint of must. Come on now, you knew it would be there. What's a Berliner Weissebier without grainy must?

More grains in the aftertaste as the sour fruits continue to die out while still squeezing some residual saliva from your glands. Grassy notes here and there are the only mention of hops to be found, but at this point, more hops would only distract from the lovely lactic and lightly acidic flavor that has opened up on my palate. Light bodied, crispy, wet, and heavily carbonated.

Another seriously good Berliner Weisse. I'm glad to see this style exploding recently; lots of beautiful sour and fruity flavors with ridiculously low levels of alcohol. Perfect combination, if you ask me. I quite enjoyed NEBCo's take on the style; I wish this was available to me - I'd have a case of it stocked in the fridge for the remainder of the summertime.

Had at the brewery on 8/6/15 and I couldn't help but to grab a 4 pack of cans to drink during some hot days. Pours a cloudy straw color with a small head, nice gentle aroma of some sour malts and granny smith apples. Super lactic sour beginning with a delicate sweetness in the middle. A touch of lemon grass in the end and it leaves a tartness that never really recedes. Finishes wet and a little sticky, but the body is insanely light. Easy to crush these in the summer. Good take on the style, for sure.

12oz can into a Pizza Boy pint glass.

Pours a 1 finger frothy white head with little retention. Beer is a semi-cloudy pale lemon. Lacing is spotty and sparse with little cling. Decent.

Nose is lightly tart with some nice, clean wheat funk. Slight lemony sweetness too. Nice aroma.

Opens lemon tartness and some rind bitterness. Crisp malt body balances the sour nicely in the middle. Finishes foamy with a dry, wheat aftertaste that doesn't linger. Real drinkable.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and bubbly in the mouth and goes down frothy quenching and easy. Finishes clean and dry with barely an aftertaste. Exactly what I want from the style.

Overall a very solid offering from a very solid brewery of an up and coming style that's getting more and more popular. This is certainly one to try.

Looking forward to trying this for a while.

A) Golden hue with a nice fluffy head that quickly dissipates.

S) Slight funk and lemons.

T) Love this you get a nice lemony sourness. Wheatgrass is noted and just a slight sweetness at the end.

M) Very smooth.

Another NebCo home run. Really need to seek out more of the style.
